He might have a knack for reality TV but Tim Dormer failed to get his footing right when he took to the ice rink in Darling Harbour on Friday.

The fun-loving Big Brother star looked in good spirits as he skated around the chilly Cool Yule winter wonderland in a pair of denim trousers paired with a knitted jumper and a leather jacket.

He accessorised his winter ensemble with a brown beanie and left his curly blonde tresses cascading down over his shoulders.

Crash and burn: Tim appeared to have fun before slipping and taking a tumble across the ice

Tim appeared to be having the time of his life before slipping and taking a tumble across the ice.

Despite the spectacular fall, the 30-year-old reality star pulled a toothy grin while clambering back up from the icy floor.

Days earlier, Tim told Daily Mail Australia he thinks some reality TV shows are 'rigged' and that he 'cheats' because he thinks like a producer.

Cheeky: The fun-loving Big Brother star looked to be in good spirits as he skated around the chilly Cool Yule winter wonderland

Attending the TW Steel Maverick Collection launch in Sydney, the media personality admitted: 'Although I think I realised that I have a knack for reality TV, I think I cheat a little bit, because I have a bit of a producer brain.

'I know how to play the game, I know how to make the show..,' he said, confessing he knows how to make something out of nothing.

'Let's face it, some of these reality shows are a bit rigged, as long as you're giving producers what they want, they are going to keep you on the show.'

Easy: Tim told Daily Mail Australia he thinks some reality TV shows are 'rigged' and that he 'cheats' because he thinks like a producer

The strawberry blonde personality said he has a 'love and hate' relationship with the format but admits what he loves about Big Brother is that there are contestants on the show 'from all walks of life.'

He explained: 'It forces people to treat everyone as human beings and that's all I'm about.'

Last month, Tim placed third on Canadian Big Brother.

He was evicted after a dramatic meltdown during a trivia challenge.

He said he was still adjusting to being back in Australia and off the show admitting he prefers the Australian version.

    • tee_smythLet's get real for a second here. Let's break down that forth wall.
I'm very lucky. I get emails, Instagram DM's, Tweets etc every day from brands and businesses wanting to work with me. 3 years after Big Brother and I've obviously been able to use my background as a social media strategist to keep myself relevant...at least in the social media space.

Some of the people that get in touch want to hire me to be the face of their campaigns or products, or commission me to write a blog...others simply want a paid post on one of my social media platforms, usually Instagram. This is the life of an "influencer" in 2016 and it's an area the PR, marketing and advertising industries are continuing to explore.
Often however, smaller start-up companies or new businesses don't have the budget for a paid post.
Now, whilst it's within my best interest to say "thanks but no thanks"...(after all, this is one of MY sources of income and it's important to remember I am a brand myself)... I sometimes bend the rules a tad and do favours for the little guys. (Much to the frustration of my agency, sorry guys!)
Today, I agreed to a in-home massage with @inbalance.mobilemassage in return for a shout out on my Instagram.
Not only was the massage itself amazing and professional (seriously, I feel so limber and relaxed) but Caitlin had arranged for this flower bouquet to be delivered after she had left...simply as a thank you.
This kind of stuff is what makes my day...and if Caitlin gets even ONE more paying customer from my post then it was a winner of a day for the both of us. Thanks Caitlin! ☺️ #PayItForward

I think she should have won ......... Maybe it was the White Shoes?

Looks like she got more than 2nd place - by the notes in her hand :)
Maybe because she isn't blonde? Didn't like her tribal
Costume but she is much more beautiful than the other two girls. The winner is downright ugly.

Happy 4th of July everyone!!

A tweet from Skye on her hair is a bit like a poisoned chalice. You just know that in about a week she will be tweeting to thank a new hairdresser for FINALLY fixing her IRRETRIEVABLY damaged hair that the last hairdresser completely FUCKED UP oh so close to FOREVER. Which was of course YOU.
