I guess this question is directed to myself and Mr S?

I have an older sister. She can't cook for shite as she never took the time to hang out in the kitchen with Dad and watch him prepare food like I did as a kid.

I always just sat back and watched what Dad did and absorbed all his methods. He never rushed his cooking and always took so much care with preparing.

That has been instilled in my memory. Dad used to say to me cooking is an art.

...haha!... no... I have one brother and one sister... (that's enough lol!)... none of us cooked as kids because mum always did it... I only started cooking a few years back after I had my first stroke and had to 'live a stress free life' for a while... (Doctor's orders lol!)... plus the fact that my sweet darling wife had to go into Hospital for an Op so there I was... cook or starve... I cooked myself a stir-fry and it tasted great!... to say that I was shocked is a massive understatement lol!... I've been hooked since... cheers.
