Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2016) - Episode Discussion

Had no internet last night.
My comments on last night's episode....

Dean sure can talk, but it doesn't really endear him to me because now I think he was deliberately censoring himself the entire time he was in there. The bit where he said "so long suckers" and then ran back for the hand-tunnel showed more energy and personality than almost a month of highlights combined.

Did Val steal Laurina's bracelet? :D It's not at all clear how she ended up "finding" it.
Laurina was incredibly nasty before it was found, and incredibly fake afterwards.

I didn't expect a discussion on Anthony's pubes, I must say.

The Fitzy and Wippa stuff was cringeworthy and boring for me. Yes, I know who they are (very minor regional radio personalities, and he was in Big Brother), but to me they come ion on the absolute arse-end of the definition of "celebrity", especially Wippa who is the one we're left with. The make-up was so poor, I don't think I've ever seen anything less convincing. And at least try to change your bogan voice Fitzy.

That was the worst episode. It was everything wrong with late era Bi Brother. They have a show here, a format that has been working, that we all seem to be enjoying, and so they put these embarrassingly bad guys in, hurt the feelings of the nicest man in there, then the big twist is that the Mick Malloy looking one who we REALLY don't care about is going to be inflicted on us again... and I for one am not now looking forward to the next episode. Way to ruin my evening Ritual, Alex. Just stop messing with stuff, and let your cast be themselves and show us the stuff they're doing. You have your format and it is working. Pelican.

The unclearness of where the bracelet was indicates to me that Val knew very well where it was and I reckon Laurina knew she knew. I missed the pubes talk thankfully. Maybe I'm too conventional in my singing training and experience, but I don't like the style of singing these days. Putting extra syllables and letters (an h into way to become way hay) etc into words and almost straining the voice.

I have never heard the song he was singing, and I think that, unaccompanied, he should have just stuck to the melody instead of the pointless oscillation around the note. It isn't the time for a jazz solo when you're sitting around the campfire. He had a shot, with an audience, and Alex's gun at the back of his head 'Sing, puppet,' and he kind of blew it with his x factor warbling rubbish.

You said it better than I did, but yes, that.

Missed about 20 mins due to my flatmate crapping on but caught the tail end of 'Peargate'. Like wtf was that about?

...I guess that Wippa and Fitzy are an affiliation of some sort with Channel 10?... why are they even on here?... are their ratings for their radio show (if they have one) or something sliding?...are they on here so that they have a few years of 'their experience in the jungle' and 'how Fitzy stitched up Wippa' to ramble on about forever just to maintain ratings?... even Channel 10's promos rambled on about the 'Biggest and funniest Stitch-up on a Reality Show of the Year' blah! blah! etc... funniest?... really?... FUNNIEST???... riiiiiight!... why isn't a 'celebrity' doing this task?... Wippa wants to quit the task... he doesn't care... he probably already knows that he'll most likely be going out of the show tonight or tomorrow... he won't go hungry... what a complete waste of time in my opinion... cheers.

...what gets me with those high wire challenges (even though I'm not good with heights either) is that they are shitting themselves while doing them (which is quite understandable) but they are harnessed up not to plunge to their deaths aren't they?... it's not like they are actually going to allow you to die during the task for ratings is it?... so why be afraid?... just do the bloody task!... there is no actual real 'danger' is there?... as I said... I'm not good with heights but I 'd rather do that than eat Buffalo anus or have Ostrich piss poured on me let alone eating any form of bugs... what's wrong with them all?... toughen up you wimps!... cheers.
