Oh and avocado and Vegemite is sooooo good. It's what got me on board with eating avocado actually, before discovering this combo I had found avo to be a pretty terrifying looking food.

Yep, most likely anyway. I have some tickets to an after party at metro theatre but am not quite feeling it this year, I think I'll force myself to go though, it's actually one of my favourite nights of the year usually. Are you going??
Sure am, have tickets to a standing section, then see where we end up. Looking forward to it, my first one!

Ooh exciting - your first time! It's seriously the best night, just the general vibe and so many people being out etc, you can't really go wrong wherever you go. I'm a bit jealous that you get to do it for the first time! Now to muster up my own motivation. Laneway the next day used to be so much fun as well.

Exactly my intro to it. I had a shredded chicken and garlic aioli sandwich on very well toasted Turkish bread yesterday and I thought it would've been good with a hint of guacamole.

Oh yeah that does sound nice.

Have you tried that "chocacado" pudding thingy of avocado and cocoa? It's seriously disgusting. But otherwise I've discovered avocado is pretty versatile.

No I haven't and going by that I don't think I will. I won't consider Nutella either. Blerk!

Supposedly some people like it but I'm yet to encounter one I like including one at a high quality vegan restaurant, so I've accepted that it is just consistently disgusting. Yes I recall your Nutella dislike, and caramel too - they are actually my favourite flavours! Nutella and salted caramel are like foodie hipster staples.

I'm with you on the avocado and vegemite. The caf at my work does a great guacamole so it's extra good with vegemite on toast.
This avo convo inspired our lunch menu today!

Smashed avo with hot chilli sauce on toasted Turkish bread with salt, cracked pepper, a sprinkle of tasty cheese and a dazzling of Olive Oil!

It was delicious!

:)

Are either of you going to dress up?!

Sounds like a blast! I love Sydney. We try to get to Sydney and Melbourne for a few days every year. That Harbour is heaven to me.

The only way I can eat Nutella is with a spoon.

My partner has it on white toast every Saturday for breakfast. I can think of nothing worse!

Happy to be useful :)

Are you retired Lucas?!

What? No. How old do you think I am? :p Haha.

Oh I just re-read my post and I can see how it's worded. Hehe. I meant killing the boredom the days at work ;). But "retiring" from the 10,000 does let me have the time do other stuff when I am at home as well.

Same. Nutella with a spoon is great, spread on bread is vile. The opposite of vegemite, which is great on toast but vile out of the jar (I know people who do that).

Meh... every relationship is different, it's up to the people actually in the relationship to determine the rules really, that's what will make it successful or not. I learnt a long time ago not to compare myself to other relationships because everyone is so different and we rarely have the full picture anyway
- some I look at and think I'd shoot myself if I was in but they actually seem happy despite my own objections.

Actually this applies to all relationships not just romantic ones - what works for some won't work for others. I am pretty open with my family with most things and I know my girlfriend finds it really weird some of the stuff we talk about, but I find it weird how she never really tells her family much, but both these things are just normal for each of us and neither is necessarily wrong or right.

I completely agree. I was going to say something similar but thought it didn't involve me so refrained from posting.

I should add that I do not think Hooley intended anything malicious by her comments. From knowing Hooley over the last year or so I have seen her be nothing but kind to everyone.

Im not sure how I'll be feeling the next day haha

No dress ups, just being myself with the boy

I remember when I first discovered Nutella. I couldn't believe you could put "Chocolate" in a sandwich. I questioned "was it legal?" Haha.

I have fond memories of having Nutella sandwiches for lunch at school. I hardly eat the stuff now unfortunately. :(
