Efficiency and effectiveness are the main purpose of the work I try to do. It amazes me how overly complicated process can be come when they don't need to be.
That is a really thought-provoking comment about Hawking - I had never really thought about it like that before. I have to mull it over rather before I could say whether I agree or not. (I will get back to you on that one!)
Terry Tao reminds me of my thoughts on many CEO's - where it's actually their executive assistant's that actually are the people making things happen at the top, with many executives sill unable to even use email!
