so you can have weird talk?
are you allowed to talk about politics or religion at a dinner party? or is that a no go?[DOUBLEPOST=1451214820][/DOUBLEPOST]
no. i don't think so.
It depends entirely on your guests. Honestly, there are no crazy rules beyond basic social decorum and making sure your guests are well fed and have enough to drink if they so desire. Conversation topics should come naturally, I tend to prefer more vapid topic on this setting but if it goes to socio-political stuff that's ok too as long as no one takes it too seriously/personally.

I don't mind conversation, as long as it is not about myself.

Often I walk away from conversations fearing I did nothing but talk about myself, and I am not generally that interesting to talk about. Are you planning to host a dinner party sometime?

If all the forum were at reepbots dinner party, I would be the drink thrower, I think?

Unlike Bradley though I know how to keep my mouth shut.
I agree that the socio/political is a risk - it can go well but I would avoid if you know people in the room have very opposing views and they may not respect the views of others in the room (imagine this forum in the argumentative times, but in person!)[DOUBLEPOST=1451215832][/DOUBLEPOST]It depends entirely on your guests. I think in real life people would be a lot less hostile, and a lot more things would be left unspoken I think.
Witty Banter
I see brinkpeople.
If reepbot is invited to a surprise 'dinner' party, he should pack his toothbrush, slippers and one framed picture of Tina Arena with blunt corners.

Bradley was actually quite sweet, just awkward.

You would probably turn up half way through, complain about the food, and then just insult me until you went home.
