Yeah it's a bizarre description, I agree. Funny, because just yesterday my group of mates had been trying to decide what we would call it, some settled on lake but that didn't seem right to me.

I don't know what the difference between a lake and an estuary is, but from now on I'm just gonna say I'm going down to the youthful wave-dominated barrier estuary. Sounds fancy :p

That sounds like a lovely idea. I have just gotten home from MCing our church carols service. Was a lot of fun, I did speak briefly about how it can be a tough time for some. Great thing is that Jesus came to bring hope!

12 Step Program saved me from me, and helped me break the cycle of addiction and pointed me in the right direction for support regarding my broken mental health. I even spent a whole year completely agrophobic! I still have spells of depression and anxiety, but thankfully I have the tools (including meds) to manage it.

Thanks, Glen. Even all this time on sobriety still gives me a sense of pride.

And bring on the shit I am about to receive frome this post ........
Tracey has made a new life for herself. She is proud to have done so. From what I have seen and read she has overcome something that many would not be able to do, if they were in her shoes, She is outspoken and is strong. Sometimes the words are to strong for those that are not in the space- but maybe those words and the way that were spoken can be a wake up call..........


I really hate the way trala posts sometimes, she can be really brash and all - but I do not think she needs to be thrashed from an addiction that took most of her younger years away ....... she dealt with it the way she did and the constant bringing it up is getting so old.

I actually had to block him. His constant "you used drugs while pregnant" (which I openly shared on this forum is my greatest shame and regret) was affecting me. He looks for your tender spot, then exploits it to cause you the most hurt. Thing is, I know what I did, and I have to live with that every day. Thankfully I have a loving, productive, beautiful, hard working 25 year old boy to prove when we know better, we do better. Raising him right has been my greatest success.

We can all see I am not special. I proved anyone can do it, if they really want to change their life. Honestly there is so much support out there. We are in control of our life choices. No excuses accepted.

I have to concur with this post. I also Really Hate the way Trala/Tracey posts at times. It sometimes seems really unnecessarily rude and reactionary - and hypocritical. BUT I do take my hate off (I meant hat but spell correct... And it also seems appropriate to take my hate off!) to anyone who can break an addiction and stay sober twenty two years. My brother was a heavy addict and did it, I know a couple of other people also from uni and later. And I have flirted with it. So... Trala in this aspect I totally respect you.
