There are many ways to practise mindfulness you just need to find what fits with you....

Good way to anchor yourself right there
With the amount of fibre I eat, I am never anchored long.

That could be an unMindfulness message, for my up coming anti inspiration daily devotional.

Break free from your inner anchor: eat more fibre.

I go through stages where positive affirmations are what I need... but too many & just think oh fu#& off.

What brought on the mindfulness
That nursing seminar I went to about a month ago.

The guy doing the talking really sold it, and I thought why not give it a crack.

So far turns out I am not great at it. I told a girl friend about it and ever since she has sent me daily Facebook you're a cunt accept it type memes.

The sad part. I like them so much more than my daily mindfulness messages.
 
Nah hooley, as made reasonably and recently clear on my facebook page, i'm not religious. :)

I am really trying hard with this whole mindfulness stuff (and yes motherfuckers, this is me being more mindful...) and I get a daily mindfulness message at 4pm daily, just to remind me to try and improve the way I think.

I would like to share today's message and ask anyone who is interested in the concept of increasing their own sense of mindfulness a question:-

All of eternity, all of time, is contained is this very moment.

Like seriously, unless someone is holding a sawn off shotgun to my head, what the fuck does that even mean?
personally I think its telling you to sit somewhere quiet... hold fingers up in the air - thumb touching little finger "just so", legs crossed "just so" .. yoga pants .. incense/candles burning ... curtains drawn ... relaxing whale mating music in the background....

now repeat after me ...

(oh god its sooooooooooooo tempting ... lol) (mindfulness ... mindful ... mindnumbing mindfulness) ... ready? here we go ...

deep breath ... really really deep breath ... suck that core in through your belly button ... suck it in so hard your eyes are crossing ...

now let it all go

ok ... walk to fridge ... find chocolate, gather wine glasses and bottle ... sit on couch ... relax and be mindful that you spill no wine and waste no crumbs :)

I would like to stage an intervention here but I'm not certain you'd enjoy it. I tend to live in a little bubble where EVERYONE has seen this movie.

the thing is - why can't they at least make the mindfulness messages have a bit of humour to them?
there's only so much namby-pamby bs a crimmy can handle before the eyes are going to be permanently stuck in the back of the sockets ....
