Never even heard of circular beach towels. Is this some strange southern thing?

I've never seen a circular beach towel.
I bought a $300 suit the other week. It's currently 30% off in the click frenzy sale and I have a mailing list 20% off that seems to be able to be stacked. Crap!

I grew up with a golf course across the street from home ... had one lesson with the Pro ... embarrassed myself so much trying to show him I could hit that ball real hard (and totally missing it) and then of course getting all embarrassed and gauche when he tried demonstrating the correct stance etc with arms around me standing real close ...
so went home and told Dad - nope not going again ... don't like it ...boring ... not interested ...
and I DO wonder what the attraction is of hitting a small ball with a stick to a far away hole and getting frustrated beyond belief when the damn thing won't go in the stupid hole ... and then when you DO finally succeed you have to go do it again ... and again ... 18 times!!! and you see people traipsing around the course in the rain doing it!! madness!!!
at least with tennis you hit the ball ... it comes back to you and you hit it again ...
I don't know ... I just find golf a bit silly ...

Never heard of circular ones. How the hell do you position yourself to have it go around you? Cut a hole and make it a poncho? My beach towel is 6x6 feet or thereabouts. Looks like a towelling blanket and has been used as one. I love it.
I had golf lessons and loved them but suffered and still do from acute self consciousness. I haven't played for a very long time. I don't like being watched when I play except when I'm putting. I'm not too bad at that.

I zoomed in way too much to see if she was naked (she is not). Oh, but yes... the towel. It looks nice but is not remotely practical.

Ha! I think it is a QLD thing fund raising for the cancer council.
This is what I'm talking about.
Also those circular towels look like they've pinched a rug from the lounge room.

The white one, while pretty, looks more like a floor rug and the blue one looks a bit like a table cloth. I do love a fringe on a towel though. You can't do that thing where you make it look like home made Wise Men headdresses in the school/church nativity play.say what? Christmas rashies??? is this a Northern thang? lol

Dammit I actually kind of love those rashies.
I hate fringes on towels ... not sure why but they just really give me the heebie jeebies!! lol
I love mandala patterns so that would be why the circular towel might attract me at first (pretty design) but then they don't seem practical ...[DOUBLEPOST=1447756471][/DOUBLEPOST]
me too - our unique take on the Ugly Christmas Sweater thing which we really can't do in our summer ... but THIS - we could do! lol
only thing is it seems they only bring out one design at a time ... so everyone's wearing the same jumper ... half the fun is comparing uglies ... I mean ugliness ... haha!!!

I love thunder & lightning, but only when i'm with someone. If i'm alone & it starts, I put on all the lights & turn the tv/music up real loud.
The adult equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears & going LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU I guess.

Yeah, the other thread with those who have no morals. I do like this thread better and I have morals, so I didn't really fit in there anyway. Now learned the lesson the hard way. OT thread is the best!
