...the many things that you remember as a kid or teenager...

Haha ok you win! Though I was a flower girl in probably 1972 and wore purple crimplene. Fortunately no photos exist in this house.
I was talking about weddings the other day with a friend. Mutual friends of our got married one Saturday morning and the bridesmaids wore purple. I went to my cousin's wedding in the afternoon, bridesmaids wore the same dresses, same shade of purple. I worse mustard to the am wedding, burnt orange to the pm one. Keeping the 70s colour schemes going. Hair a la Veronica Lake for both, lol.

Oh God yes! My best friend's sister got married and she got to be a flower girl before anyone else did - her dress was mustard-duckshit coloured. We were so jealous then. Now, not so much.

The mustard suit I had I loved to bits. The fabric made it seem much more elegant and swish. Very 90s. My flowergirl frock in the 60s was bubblegum pink.

Okay, please forgive the quality of these, I had to take pictures of pictures that were stuck firmly in an album.
Firstly, what was with parents dressing their kids the same?
Yellow skivvy, wide plastic belt and jeans. Shoe half undone for me. Standard. I'm the blonde.

...Insomniac... all of those photo's are brilliant... thanks for sharing them with us... just one little question my friend... that first photo with all of you wearing those skivvies... were you the original 'Wiggles'?... you were all way ahead of your time methinks!... :)... cheers.

...wow Khun Khun you were quite the little social butterfly back then weren't you?... cheers.

...I remember when dad and us were out in the front garden once and were creating flower gardens along the front of the garden... dad was using a pick axe to dig out the clay and he hit the water mains and a giant water spout erupted... my brother and I were in hysterics!... we asked dad if we could earn some extra pocket money by asking the neighbours if they wanted to get there cars washed for a shilling and whether they could drive under it to get washed and he really got angry with us!... mum was crying whereas dad was too busy ringing the Council to send somebody out immediately to turn the water off lol!... we grabbed our little sister and pushed her under it until she was totally saturated while mum and dad's back were turned... it was so funny!...

...I remember when our little sister once asked my brother and I as to why we had 'pee pees' and she didn't?... I said to her that we were all born with them but when some kids were naughty or were nasty to their brothers that they dropped off... she bawled her eyes out and dad came into the room straight away and asked what the hell was going on?... when my sister asked him to find her 'pee pee' because it had dropped off he asked us what the hell she was talking about and as you probably expect... I copped a belting for it lol!...

...I remember that my brother and I convinced our sister that she was adopted and that she was really 'Al Capones' daughter... yep!... another flogging lol!... (believe it or not... we love our sister dearly... no really... we do!)... lol!... cheers.
