The Bachelorette’s Sasha dubbed The Iguana after tongue kissing Sam

919ec68e1befa44f28dd3bd45fcad9e5

THE home town visits on The Bachelorette are a chance for the boys’ families to get to know Sam.

But Sasha says his mum has seen enough.

“The thing I found most cringe-worthy was watching (Wednesday night) with the art date and the fact we had that first kiss and there was just heaps of tongue involved,” he told The Heckle podcast.

“I got a message from my mum going ‘What are you doing?’ and I’m like ‘Sorry mum! Sorry about that’.

“I’ve been called ‘the iguana’ this morning at work because of the tongue — the lizard.”

In Thursday night’s episode, Sasha took Sam to Bowral and introduced her to the family. And while it was a little wobbly to start with, the 30-year-old construction manager says she fit in easily.

720cce1ddef6c4f178c12d097b5a0ca7

“At the start it was a little bit weird for my mum and my step dad and my little brother because they haven't been in front of the cameras, but after they got warmed into it, it was very natural, very free flowing,” he told the podcast.

“We had a great time, we laughed, we joked around, we took the piss out of one another which is what we do as a family. And for Sam to just jump in like she did and involve herself and literally just take the piss out of me all night was great.”

The successful home visit to Sasha’s house secured him a spot in the final three along with Michael and Richie.

But Alex wasn’t as lucky. After a tense home visit where his sister put the hard questions to Sam, the 25-year-old financial consultant didn’t receive a rose.
I guess we forget that for the families it is awkward having camera there - and so they may be a bit stilted / awkward in their questions ... but still no need for Ritchie's mates to be so aggressive in their questions ... made it out like they expect to remain his top priority and wanted to ensure she knew her place in the scheme of things ... definitely off putting for me

the Iguana thing is funny - he's never going to live this down!

we have workers with nicknames and if you ask for them by their real name noone knows who you're talking about! this stuff sticks! (but is all done with good humour and much backslapping)

the guys are probably asking him 20 questions about Sam every day and pressuring to know if he is The One or not

lol I know, at least he seemed to see the humour in it.
And, it was nice to read that he's back at work. I wonder how many of the others are.

this is from PopSugar - I took out all the images except for the best one - this is how I'd like to remember Dave rather than the sullen looking guy from the last 2 eps he was in ...

The Bachelorette's Dave Opens Up About Sam Frost and Samantha Jade

by Genevieve Rota 15/10/15

Plumber Dave Billsborrow, 30, may not have connected romantically with Sam Frost on The Bachelorette, but he was certainly one of our favourites. Bowing out of the contest in episode seven, Dave was sweet, down-to-earth and a real romantic during his time on the show. He's a true Aussie gent — and one of the funniest guys to chat to on the phone! Speaking just prior to his elimination, we asked Dave all about his platonic connection with Sam, what the remaining four guys — Richie, Michael, Alex and Sasha — are like and, of course, those persistent Samantha Jade rumours. Scroll to read what Dave had to say!

PS-Obviously-now-four-guys-left.jpg

POPSUGAR Australia: How are you, Dave?

Dave: I’m really good, yourself?

PS: Well, thank you! Congrats on getting to the top five — was it hard to leave in such a late stage of the game?

Dave: I think you’ll find it’s pretty evident that Sam and I . . . Well, I suppose it was more her putting me in the friend zone. We had such an awesome connection and I loved having chats with her, I love being around her but I was sort of battling that questions of, "Am I just seeing her as a friend myself?" At the end of the day I’ve got to be selfish and know what I want in a relationship, it can’t just be one-sided, it would be unfair for her. I explained to her in the very beginning, and numerous other times, that I was there for all the right reasons and if I wasn’t I would put my hand up and explain it to her. But I was sort of wondering myself, "Do I consider her a friend or do I consider her as a future wife or girlfriend?" Her letting me go obviously explained everything to me. I can definitely see us as just having a friendship.

PS: And had you come to that conclusion before she let you go?

Dave: No, I don’t reckon right there and then. I still had a little bit more time — to be honest, I was thinking, "I can see myself with her, but am I also just seeing myself with her as friend?" It’s a tough one — what’s the right answer in love? [Laughs]

PS: It’s tough because she is a beautiful woman and she’s fun and funny . . . She has all the right qualities so there’s no reason for you not to feel attracted to her romantically.

Dave: Oh, definitely! 100 percent! But it also makes it difficult when you see [she has] a stronger connection with the other guys that you’re in the house with.

PS: Is that what happened?

Dave: Oh, I definitely had my mind wondering at times — you’d be lying if you said you didn’t. But at the end I was really happy with where I was at. I’m happy that, hopefully, she finds the love of her life. I just want great things for and great things for the guy who wins!

PS: Between The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I think you’re the first person to tell me you took your own feelings into consideration.

Dave: Yeah, I think you have to. When you’re in a relationship with someone, you have to be selfish in a way, like, "I’m not feeling this." You’ve got to think about yourself, and I think maybe my in past relationships failed because you’re constantly putting the other person in front. It’s hard for me to explain . . . You have to be happy with yourself before you can make someone else happy.

PS: Totally, that’s spot on. Were you instantly attracted to Sam physically?

Dave: Oh, physically? Oh yeah, she’s gorgeous!

PS: Is she the type you’d normally go for?

Dave: Yeah, definitely. For sure!

PS: Did it take a while to get to a point where you had romantic feelings for her, or was it early on in the piece, on your first date?

Dave: Um, no . . . After the date I was pretty smitten. It didn’t take long for me to go, "Oh, she is a good bird, I had such a good time, I can see myself with her."

PS: What was her reason for letting you go? Was it just that she saw you as a friend and not a romantic partner?

Dave: I definitely think that was the case, and that’s something that I was feeling as well. So in a way . . . How do you explain that you’re disappointed but not at the same time? [Laughs] I was very disappointed that I had left. Hometown visits would have been great, too, because maybe I could’ve been a lot more myself in front of my family and had that trip away together. Sometimes you might be with someone and not think anything of it and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, you’re like, "Sh*t, I actually like this person!" That hometown visit could have set that off, but as my mum says, "Everything happens for a reason." And I’m a big believer in that.

PS: So what made you apply in the first place?

Dave: I was approached to go on it. I wasn’t going to do it to start with. But I run my own plumbing company and I had a big job in the city that got cancelled on me, and I just kept thinking about it and how much of a great opportunity it would be . . . and how much fun it would be. I was like, "Bugger it, I’m going to be adventurous and give it a go!" We’re going to be working until we’re 80 anyway, what’s eight weeks off? [Laughs]

PS: Are you happy now in hindsight that you did it? Would you do it again?

Dave: Oh, I’m very happy that I did it. Would I do it again? Um, maybe a different sort of scenario . . . Yeah, look, I’d do it again! I had a ball.

PS: Did your mates give you a hard time about it, or were they supportive?

Dave: [Laughs] If you knew mates . . . I love them to pieces but, look, I went to a boarding school, I played rugby all my life, I’m in the trades — my mates are just ruthless! If anyone pays me out I don’t really care, 'cause I’ve heard everything [laughs]. They were really surprisingly supportive — I really am happy, I’ve got a good relationship with my mates and we’re pretty open about everything.

PS: I know you became close friends with Davey and Sasha. Can you tell me a bit about them?

Dave: Sasha, Davey and myself, we clicked pretty much from the get-go. I think Sasah and I, we’re pretty much separated at birth, and then Davey was like our little bro. The young 25-year-old that we sort of had to look after [laughs]. We get along really well. Sasha and I, I suppose we’ve got really similar morals, everything’s sort of similar. We played footy, we’re in the trades . . . Davey’s the same but just five years younger than us and he’s a little ratbag. He just really cracks me up.

PS: Obviously now there are four guys left. So can you tell me a bit about Michael?

Dave: Michael’s got . . . He’s pretty cheeky, actually! He’s pretty funny. I always thought, "Geez, will I get on with this bloke?" and I thoroughly did. He’s genuinely a really nice guy, he’s a bit cheeky. He had a few sly comments that he’d make, and no one really notices . . . but I would hear it and just kind of look at him and smile [laughs].

PS: That’s funny, we don’t really see that side so much!

Dave: No, there were a few things that weren’t on the show, which I was a little bit frustrated about. But I’m not a producer — I don’t know what’s best and they do, so I was happy with what they did.

continued ...

PS: And Richie?

Dave: He cracks me up. With Richie, you could put him in an empty room with a tennis ball and he’d be entertained for years. He’s so funny! [Laughs] He cracks me up. Everyone had their moments where they’d be happy, sad, happy, angry . . . But he was just the same, the whole way.

PS: Alex comes across so debonair and gentlemanly — what was he like?

Dave: The Pommy! Just a typical Pom really, you explained it all! Very gentlemanly, he loves his scarves. He wears scarves! [Laughs] I was like, "Mate, we’re not in England!" He is, to be honest, I could look up to Alex in the way of being a gentleman but he is like the other guys, he is quite funny and witty as well. But he was portrayed pretty much how he is, very gentlemanly, a gentle man and he’s got morals.

PS: Are you single . . . Or are you dating Samantha Jade?

Dave: [Laughs] I waiting for it! Look, I’m very single. Samantha Jade and myself . . . We’re good friends [laughs].

PS: We figured out there’s a cousin involved there somewhere.

Dave: My cousin is a back-up dancer for Samantha Jade and we just went and had dinner one night — and Samantha and I became friends!

PS: She’s the nicest person in the world, you almost can’t not be friends with her!

Dave: Samantha Jade — her personality matches her beauty. 10 out of 10. She’s gorgeous! Yeah . . . Like I just said, her personality matches her beauty. 10 out of 10, she is a lovely girl.

PS: But you are single?

Dave: Yeah, I’m single.

PS: Are you still looking for love right now or do you need a break after The Bachelorette?

Dave: Um, well I did pour my heart out a few times! I put my heart on the line a fair bit so I suppose I’m a bit emotionally drained [laughs]. But in terms of love, I’m always — you’d be lying if you said you weren’t always looking for it. I think I explained it on the show: it’s like losing your car keys. You can search for them and search for them and as soon as you stop looking, they’re sitting there on the kitchen bench.

PS: Who do you think will win?

Dave: I always said from the start it would be Michael and Sasha. I just felt that they had the very first connections, and you could just physically tell. But Richie was always my underdog. He’s just a genuinely great guy, and with a rig like his . . . those bumps going everywhere, he’s very easy on the eye for the ladies! [Laughs].

PS: So you think Richie wins now?

Dave: I'm leaning towards Sasha and Richie.

Not with me. I don't like him based on watching him on television, I didn't even know about his family until last night.

Me neither. Not everyone reads, let alone scours, the Daily Mail. I have based my comments on what I've witnessed on the tellie and my intuition.

Concrete Boots. Period.

lol I don't normally read nor scour the Daily Mail - I was doing it for entertainment value here and on Bachelor thread until I got bored with reading the same shit over and over again.

Same, there has to be some goss to fill in the time between shows!

Sam has said to wait for next Wednesday and see what you think after that about who her favourite is.
I guess meaning that it's not obvious already meaning it's not Sasha or Michael? lol
I have no idea.

I wasn't criticising you for posting DM stories, Crimmy.

You said "all the comments about Sasha's father ... we read this stuff at the very beginning of the show"

I didn't read anything about Sasha or his family. That was all I was trying to say.

Had your eye on them ever since? Sam Frost already ogled Bachelorette's Richie Strahan and Dave Billsborrow at Cleo Bachelor party last year... BEFORE they appeared on show
By ALICIA VRAJLAL FOR DAILY MAIL AUSTRALIA

She's made no secret of her affections for Richie Strahan, choosing the Perth-based hunk to be in her final three on The Bachelorette.

But Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Sam Frost already cast her eye on the blond rope access technician months before filming of the reality show commenced.

Last October 26-year-old Sam was pictured attending the 2014 Cleo Bachelor Of The Year finals event, where 30-year-old Richie was present on stage as one of the sexy finalists.

Sam wore a multi-layered outfit on the night, donning a tan blouse over a lacy white top and tight black pants.

Meanwhile Richie, was one of the 30 men chosen as Cleo Bachelor nominees.

He was even photographed with the competition's winner Thien Nguyen and runner-up Dan Churchill, the boys posing with Channel V's Carissa Walford for some publicity snaps on stage.

With the night being all about the Cleo Bachelors, there's no doubt Sam would have noticed Richie on stage.

And the plot only thickens, as fellow The Bachelorette contestant Dave Billsborrow was also on stage.

The 30-year-old plumber who was eliminated on Wednesday night, was seen standing among the group of boys, though not next to Richie.

But if she did indeed chat to these hunks on the night, Sam is not letting that show on Channel Ten's The Bachelorette.

Richie is one of three men left on the program, with Sam's other two finalists of choice being Michael Turnbull and Sasha Mielczarek.

In next week's episodes of the reality show, Sam will be taking the boys to Auckland before making her final decision.

'They've definitely cut out all the good parts': The Bachelorette's Michael Turnbull says that 'raunchy' kisses with Sam Frost were been 'toned down' by producers

Viewers have seen him enjoy a few passionate kisses with Sam Frost over the series of The Bachelorette Australia.

But Michael Turnbull has now revealed that the show’s producers opted to cut out even steamier clinches from the show.

Speaking to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O on Friday morning, the 34-year-old admitted: ‘They’ve definitely cut out all the good parts.’

Getting close: Michael Turnbull has hinted that the show’s producers opted to cut out even steamier clinches from the show during an interview on Friday morning

The topic was brought up by shock jock Kyle as he cheekily asked the former soccer player: ‘Are any of you guys having sex with Sam that we don’t see?’

Michael laughed in shock as he responded: ‘They’ve definitely cut out all the good parts. They’ve definitely dialled it down for the kids.

He continued: ‘There were some pretty raunchy scenes. There wasn’t nothing X-rated but they’ve toned it down for the viewers.’

Michael then pointed out that the Bachelors had less chance of spending quality time with the brunette beauty away from the cameras, explaining: ‘They didn’t give us the option for the overnight stay, I think they did that with the first Bachelor, but we had nothing man. We had absolutely nothing.’

Kyle also shocked Michael when he asked if the Bachelor boys were ‘gender fluid’ and Brisbane-based Michael couldn’t help but chuckle as he replied: ‘The guys were definitely affectionate in the house. There were a few cuddles and kisses on the neck.

‘It was more of a bromance. It was good to see the boys getting along.’

Jackie asked the Bachelor frontrunner how he planned to wait before beginning to date again if he didn’t win the show.

Steamy! Sam couldn't keep her hands off Michael on The Bachelorette hometown visits

Giving no clues away, Michael answered: ‘I guess it’s one of those things, regardless of the result, you can’t force it. You can’t just go out and find a partner. I think that’s just something that happens naturally.

‘The Brisbane bar scene is no the biggest scene in the world. I’m sure all the boys will get a lot of attention but I’ll see what comes my way.’

Speaking about viewers’ assumption that Sasha would be the man to steal Sam’s heart, Michael had nothing but praise for the construction manager as he said: ‘I think he’s got the perfect combination, he’s a bit artistic and he’s a bit of a lover but he’s also a big Aussie bloke.

‘His banter’s pretty s*** but he got a good laugh and a great smile.’
