The Bachelor Australia 2015

There's no misandrists here, just people that don't tolerate bullshit.
I was just juxtaposing consuelas sense of 'humour' to an equivalent. I don't go around calling people misandrists, lonely cat hags, etc.. based on what they think about some famewhore (the male bach). It appears you missed the point of my analogy entirely.

Like I said it's a tad creepy to get invested and be THAT defensive for reality celebs you only know from the edits of a producer.

You're naive act is so tiresome. I was being facetious in the sense that I don't go around making personal attacks based on what they think of some reality famewhore.

Some posters (not all) in here for some reason tend to be overly protective of their favourite reality stars and feel the need to 'flame' when someone writes something that's 'uncomplimentary' about them.

Plenty of crap has been leveled at reality celebs I like (i.e. Tahan) and I've never felt the need to individually troll them. *shrugs* It's a little bit creepy to be honest.

I'm just saying that your use of the word misandarist is a bit overblown. I was just wondering why you were using it.

I was being facetious. Look at the post above yours. But I know that you're deliberately acting as if you don't understand, it's your trolling m.o. :p

You do this all the time. You pick on something that's been said and then twist it in the hope to draw out more responses.:p
It interests me too.
On one hand you cry wolf with the 'M' word but are happy to refer to women you don't know/haven't met as 'slags'.
Do you not see the irony in that?

I don't want to repeat myself:

Anyway I come on reality tv forums to take the piss out of the contestants who willingly participate on these shows and therefore leave themselves open to public ridicule. Trolling anonymous posters in a forum who I know next to nothing about, I'll leave that to the trolls. So no, that ain't my kind of 'humour' just in case it wasn't clear.

Reality contestants are fair game, it what's this forum is about after all. If I wanted to troll other posters I go to places like 4chan that are renown for it.

The 'slags' was a flippant off-hand tongue-in-cheek remark (i.e oops...), nothing more nothing less. Can't believe people are making such a big deal out it. I don't care about these women to pass any kind of serious judgement/assessment about their lives. They could be porn stars for all I know and I could not care less.

In this day and age where people who are prudes/sexually conservative (mainly religious individuals) are the target of ridicule from the majority non-religious, I'm confused as to why insinuating 'promiscuity' in women in deemed to be such an insult. There has to be some cognitive dissonance involved to hold such contrasting views. That's something to be ashamed of only if you let it.

Honestly I really see no difference between that and the harsh personal criticism the bach constantly got anyway which didn't seem to be meant in jest and IMO a lot worse.

Hence why I began to act as a contrarian to give some balance and perspective in regards to how his behaviour was judged and perceived.

.
It's actually a derogatory remark that is specifically targeted at women, so it's basically inherently misogynistic.
So...basically you're throwing around misogynistic remarks but then accusing those that defend any woman against said remarks as 'misandrist':hilarious:

IMO there's a difference between flaming reality contestants and other posters, that's the point I'm making.

Doubt that kind of humour would go down well in a predominantly female frequented board. :angelic: Anyway I come on reality tv forums to take the piss out of the contestants who willingly participate on these shows and therefore leave themselves open to public ridicule. Again I wasn't calling anyone a 'misandrist', I used it in a sarcastic/facetious analogy, I thought it would be obvious.

Is it that hard to defend a reality contestant without resorting to personal trolling?

You're doing a reepbot and ignoring things that I explained several times already to maintain your argument.

lol so your social commentary (i.e. shit-stirring) is all designed as a public service to give balance to the forum?

Not because you:

a) have watched the show
b) give a shit about the show
c) actually believe what you're saying

Whatever would we do without you Con? :p

Okay I've watched almost nothing of show but can you blame a bloke for getting a big head from what these women are putting themselves through to 'win' him? :angelic:

If the shoe were on the other foot (female bach) I wouldn't be that critical of her either. Anyhow I doubt the blokes vying for her heart will hopelessly and madly fall in love with her and display the same emotional devastation that their female counterparts have.

I suspect that most of the guys would view it as a fun experience and gracefully accept not being picked. You're unlikely to see the tears and breakdowns that were common among some of the females.

I don't even have to do that your hypocrisy is all over this thread, it's entertaining...actually!
I'm not a hypocrite. I'll probably go easy on the female bachie as well. How can someone not gradually have huge tickets on themselves when you have a bevvy of singles fighting over you. :angelic:

Okay well if you've read what we've been posting from the beginning you would have seen that things aren't as black and white as you're making out. I know it doesn't fit in with your thoughts on us women, but it's never been just a blanket 'he's a dick' argument. Some of the things he did and said were praised and others were criticised, it's all been comments in the moment based on what we're shown.

I don't think we've seen any 'emotional devastation' as your drama-queen side likes to put it lol. At best they were blindsided but I'm pretty sure every one of them is over it now.

Now, before you say how you think the guys will act, you're forgetting about testosterone and the male being's inability to accept that they aren't perfect (JOKES CON!! :p :p ) and therefore I expect all manner of hissy-fits to ensue ;)
