The Bachelor Australia 2015

wowzers, the Sam hate, he's more than fallen from grace here hey

I don't really get it atm, maybe I'm missing something and will get it more later

(I mean this genuinely and with respect, absolutely not trying to be argumentative, I'm maybe just missing something that a lot of you see)

ok, I've got to ask quick... how do I make my previous posts into spoilers (have to be clicked on)

On the tool bar above where you type in your response, third button from the right (to the left of the save button) press that and click on spoiler and go from there.

Edit: but you only have a 10 minute window to go back and change it.

I did like him until that article yesterday where he was all like 'i never really was into Heather anyway but i kept her around because i like having my own personal jester lol.' It was the stringing along and not being honest about his intentions. Plus he knew about her family situation but still went with the home visit anyway.

Also Sam is very egotistical in that unless you tell him how great you think he is and you are all over him then he doesn't want to know you.

It's all good, I don't really think there are any spoilers any more. Not unless someone has photographic evidence of him with someone lol

Lana's cat is gorgeous, and I'm not a cat person.

It's par for the course in this forum to 'hate' on male reality tv participants whilst heap praise on the females counterparts. It's just that way it is I'm afraid.

What amuses me though it's that they have the hide to accuse anyone who doesn't go along with that line of thinking as a misogynist but somehow are oblivious to the fact it that can be easily turned on them by claiming they're misandrists for ripping to shreds almost every male who appears on a reality show. In their opinion few, if any, male reality tv 'star' has any redeeming qualities about him. :smug:

The only one I can think of that's gone against that trend is dave from last year's BB. He had a sizable fanbase (mostly female posters) but even he had his fair share of haters too. :hilarious:

I liked him early on. I thought it was great how he seemed to be honest and upfront when sending Jacinda home, even with Emily.
Even when he sent Heather home, even though he denied EVER feeling anything other than friendship even though he said things that led her on, I thought well he has the right to choose who he wants.
But, I agree with @reepbot that article he put out where he basically said he always knew he'd never feel more than friendship and that he selfishly kept her around because she was 'fun' even though she begged him not to take her on home visits if he wasn't sure - well that made me angry at him.
Add him to last night where he was giving Sarah NOTHING on their date and yet chose to make her feel bad about herself for not opening up more whilst he talks about his feelings for the others just had me screaming DICKHEAD at the tv.

So yeah I think during the course of it he's got a massive big head and thinks they should all be grovelling at his feet and I don't particularly like this version of Sam.

I remember there being some divide with David and Priya fans. Got intense.

well he started off seeming to be mindful of hurting or humiliating certain girls (like Jacinda and Bec) and giving them the opportunity to leave before the rose ceremony
he also seemed to be giving fair consideration to the girls and putting genuine thought into the dates and what would suit each girl .. so that always gains browny points even though we're well aware he might suggest the date but doesn't really organise them
then as the dates got hot and heavier his speil got very much same ole same ole with all of them ...and alarm bells started peeling
then we got the *beautiful eyes* over and over again which ok fair enough - he is very keen on Lana from day 1 - but there's a certain amount of 'hey wait a minute!" because by that time most of us had loyalty to one or more of the original women
and then despite Heather (who obviously is a favourite with the viewing public and has been from the very first night - and continues to be even after she's left the show) telling him 1. she's terrified of the family visits and begging him not to put her through that unless he's certain he wants her to stay 2. that SHE isn't putting him in the friend zone and SHE has real feelings for him
he STILL puts her through that, doesn't give HER the opportunity to depart before a rose ceremony (but it was NEVER going to soften the blow which we all saw her take dead centre of her heart) and even after putting her through that he then exacerbates it by making comments that get quoted about never having intended to take her to the end anyway ...

then I guess its the whole end of the show thing - the dates are getting touchy feely, deep & meaningful conversations are happening ... the girls are laying it out there ... and its just a totally weird situation ... getting to that stage with 3 women ... and now two ... still letting them believe they are "the one" ... and we know someone tonight is going to be hurt ... AGAIN

I think its the concept of the show that leads us not to like him ... he's not exactly everyone's idea of Mr Right, Mr Right Now or Mr Will Do For Now anyway

We also get to see and hear more from the women and as women we empathise with them

Will be interesting to see how we go with SamFro and the bachelors ...

Come on, it was hardly a rant. I was merely giving my opinion to reepbot who asked as to why I didn't particularly care for the concept of the show. :angelic:

In my mind any woman who's willing to compete for a guy with 20 or so females on national television clearly has some self esteem/respect issues or some hidden agenda (i.e. famewhoring and only pretending to be interested in the bachie purely for self promotion) for going on the show hence why I might have reservations about their integrity as individuals.

In any event I don't think I'm alone in feeling that way and most guys will be very wary of getting romantically involved with the women who made it on this show as well.

Haha I think it takes a certain type of person to go on ANY reality tv show and have cameras watching you.

People have been watching the Bachelor o/s for years and I guess if they're fed up with other means of finding someone why not. (I couldn't do it in a million years). I'm sure there are lots who just go in it for their own reasons (both male and female) but I do think most of them are there hoping to find someone as well.

I don't think it's true that guys will be wary about getting romantically involved with them though unless they're crazytown like Sandra.

I am convinced it's Snezana. I do not see any connection between him and Lana, he always looks awkward with her and their conversation seems stilted.

Time will be the judge of this "relationship". The big surprise will be if they are still together in a year. Who knows maybe she will be pregnant with his child by then. I will watch her interact with his family with renewed interest now.

So basically you're allowed to critique girls for simply going onto the show but apparently the actual bachelor himself is immune to criticism?

My favourite part of last night's show was the awkward silence after Sam and Lana had finished discussing the free flowing conversation and reiterated how intelligent the other was...so they plugged the awkward gap with a pash. There's a whole lot of conversation conversation versus actual conversation in that dynamic.
