The Bachelor Australia 2015

Just re-watching the Warwick Sam scene

Sam -I am making decisions only with my heart - thats all fine and dandy Sam, but you need to be thinking too!

I am still confused over who the 4 definitions are:

1. Intellectual wave length and physical attraction (Snez?)
2. Strong physical attraction and constant surprises (Lana?)
3. In time there could be something but not there yet (Sarah?)
4. fun laughter friendship physical attraction. (Heather)

Did anyone work it out for sure?
So over on the other forum (can't find the quote because that place is like a maze) I think they had
1.Lana
2. Snez
3.Sarah
4.Heather

I think i agree with your order though. That would mean that Sarah is out next.
To be honest if your order is correct I'm surprised that Sarah wasn't booted before Heather. Maybe Warwick guilted Sam into not stringing Heather along unless she was the final girl?

I don't think Sam was lying to Warwick when he said he had a physical connection to Heather. I just think it was a convenient thing for him to say to her that the romantic/physical connection wasn't there when he dumped her. I mean what else was he going to say?
true - at this point no matter what he says it is going to sound like platitudes or excuses.

Hi. I've been reading you for some time, but now I'm really curious: why is everyone saying that Warwick is scary?
What was so frightening about him? I saw a man who spoke his truth, honest, straight shooter, who likes people who are the same with him, sincere back. So why would Sam need to be scared of Warwick?
Maybe because he couldn't be honest with him, maybe because he feared Warwick would read through Sam's lies? (which he did and he kinda alluded to that in his conversation with Heather)
I really liked Warwick, the best male character on the show. Loved him.
He didn't grill Sam or pressed him to tell how would he treat Heather, he was asking Sam about about Sam himself, and if Sam had been comfortable in his own skin in that moment I wouldn't see a problem.

As for the girls, my favorite is Heather, followed closely by Sarah and for both I've wished that they wouldn't end up with Sam. I also like Lana and Snezana so I have no preference over the final choice and as the time progresses I'm less impressed by Sam, since it's only the promotion of the show that's making him look as this eligible bachelor that ticks all boxes.

Welcome @soandso great first post!

Hi, welcome.

I think that is the only real reason Sam had to be "afraid" of Warwick - if he knew he wasn't being sincere.

I remember weeks ago when he sent mixed signals which I interpreted as him not giving green lights, or at the least delay tactics. He's strung her along in a sense. I also think he really genuinely liked her as a person. When she got her shit together after cheek-gate, he would have been convinced for a short time that she was cool with things and happy to go along for the ride...until it got too close to crunch time.

Heather was no doubt a BIG contributor to ratings and audience loyalty. I don't think 10 wanted her to go too early and probably had a hand in engineering that.

The one thing i have learnt on this forum is that everyone likes people who are honest unless they are honest about them.

Thanks for the welcome.

It was the first episode where we got to see Sam interact with other people, other than just the girls he tries to woo and impress. What was interesting to me was seeing his desire to be liked, which is understandable, but it became even more obvious how hard he is trying to be the guy who says and does everything right while being filmed. He appeared so uncomfortable because he didn't have the control over things and their thoughts (since the families asked questions), while the girls are in controlled closed environment and he is pretty much all they think of during the filming so much easier to be manipulated.

Personally I don't think it's that Sam felt no physical/sexual attraction to Heather (a few looks gave him away and I think he would have moved her on early if he knew there was nothing there like he did Jacinda and Bec). I just think there was more with Snez and Lana. So yeah I don't think he was lying...but I think it's telling that fun and laughter was used to describe their relationship before physical was.

And says his priorites I guess. Makes sense.

re: the Warwick stuff - that is just one member trying to stir shit. he's a troll. I'm #teamwarwick all the way

Re: Warwick and everyone - it's not just here, I mean on twitter, instagram, facebook, press, people were writing how scary and tough he was and that he scared Sam away and that he's the reason for Heather leaving. The guy simply didn't kiss Sam's a**, but he wasn't rude, he wasn't negative, he was just curious to find out about who Sam is as a man.

I get that we all want to leave good first impression, but Sam wasn't natural and genuine there and he freaked out every time Warwick asked him a question. But as he was leaving and saying goodbye to Heather, he talked to her about Warwick and her with not much feelings, like he didn't understand the importance of this man in her life, so it wasn't like Warwick's opinion really mattered to Sam.
That's what I was left with, like it bothered him that Warwick was measuring him as a man.

It had nothing to do with Warwick, it's ridiculous to suggest someone would give up on someone just because they don't get along with their family. That's a cop out and they clearly didn't care enough about the person in the first place. It reminds me of @Sweetgeek's story on the OT Thread the other day, if someone loves you, they accept the people around you.

What happens if the people around the person you love are vampires? Vampires who really hate humans. Lol.

Of course, but you chose this, not them
never an easy option - in my life I have seen both sides - I have chopped out of a friends life for voicing concerns, and have watched a partner chose to cut his parents out of his life partly because of his mothers dislike of me (yes I know the cliched my mother in law hates me story).

However when you are talking about someone you have chosen to look up to the way Heather does Warwick, you would be silly to not to respect and admire that. I doubt Warwick changed Sam's end game.

It probably gave it the final nudge though. I can't fault Sam for not wanting to put up with Warwick's faux macho rubbish.

I doubt Warwick changed it either, but if Sam didn't particularly like Warwick, getting rid of Heather put him in the position of not having to deal with Warwick again, in theory.

It's been said before, if Sam was really into Heather, he wouldn't have had a problem answering Warren questions. Warren just made it harder, because Sam would have known he had a very sharp bullshit-o-meter.
