Wow, that's awful. I'm so sorry you went through that. Despite being a happy occasion about celebrating love weddings just bring out the absolute worst in some people I find. It doesn't help when they are already a bit selfish either I imagine.
That says it all really. :p

Why a couple getting married would want randoms (more or less) on their special day who are just there for a free feed (assuming they don't bring any gifts) is beyond me.
Ah now there's the other side of the coin ... the couples who invite a lot of randoms because that means more gifts ...

Gee The Wonder of a Wedding - and even a 21st, Engagement - 30th or any celebration!

Eloping is the go, for a wedding as you can spend up big on a holiday and still have some change - IMHO - and then have a party later, when you get back (BBQ with those that really care) :) and by that time everyone will have forgiven you!!!!!!! Who needs the presents that you do not need! Better to surround self that will share the love and empower you both, than 3 fricken toasters etc :)

21sts are old school, these days, as far as I can see ....... although I had a good one ;)

30th and 4oths are the best parties I have ever been to!

100%... that's actually what I am planning to do. Well planning is too strong a word as I am so unorganised. I've never had a party in my honour before since childhood.[DOUBLEPOST=1441846565][/DOUBLEPOST]
Hopefully it will be entertaining. I am pretty much only watching for Tim so I hope he can take it out. :)

You seem like you'd be a Sophie Monk fan Lucas!!

Back in the day I was. With Bardot and her solo album but I haven't really followed her since she gave up on music 11+ years ago. It's all about the music man! :p

But hey maybe my fandom could be revived with Celebrity Apprentice? ;)

Oh yes that makes sense - I forget that Sophie's origins are in music tbh. Remember her solo career? I only remember calendar girl but surely that wasn't it? I do love Sophie though.

Calendar Girl was her only release. With the 3 singles: inside outside (that one was my favourite, lol), get the music on and one breath away.

Then she went to LA and became a actress. What was that movie when she was wearing that skimpy outfit and washing a car getting all wet? I think that was her first big role over there. I think she's just a radio host now here in Australia isn't she?

My favourite Bardot member was Belinda.

The other Bardot girls didn't release much stuff either. Katie did work with Disco Montego then had a song on her own then vanished then came back a few years later with a single with T-Funk then vanished again and I think she released a jazz album after that hiatus.

Tiffani did a single with a big record label but then they parted due to differences. She then funded her own independent label and released a solo album which was pretty good. It had a real rocky sound. She then had a baby, got married then divorced. She also released a album of baby lullabies and now I believe she runs her own singing lesson company.

Belinda's first single was an Olympic ballad for the Athens in 2004 but it wasn't successful. She returned in 2005 with a catchy dance song which amazingly made number 26 on the ARIA charts a few months after release but suddenly dramatically dropped out the week after. I think she did another song which was on a dance compilation but that was it. I believe she then went to Singapore to pursue a fashion career.

Sally actually didn't release any solo music. I'm not quite sure what happened to her. I didn't really follow her since you know it's all about the music for me.

There you have it you are up to date with the girls of Bardot. Unfortunately it looks like most of them have faded from the limelight.

Oh yes of course Calender Girl was not the name of a single, that's why I couldn't think at all how it went. Hmm you seem to know a lot about Sophie for a non-fan ;)

Yeah she was in a few movies dabbled in radio and had at least 2 failed engagements that I can recall, possibly even 3.

I love that you are so up to date with all the Bardot girls. How about with Scandal'us? Scott Cain? I actually know/knew Danielle Stearman if you remember her, she is still with Scott now. Anyway.

I bought a dress from Tiffani at a market once. And then remember when someone (maybe Lindsay Lohan?) released a cover of her song? Well more just a version I think, like when Vanessa Hudgens released the same song as Tammin Sursok only a couple of years later.

I suppose I used to be a fan of Sophie but yeah my interest faded when she stopped music.

To be honest I didn't really follow any of the other Popstars. Bardot were the only ones that appealed to me. "I Need Somebody" is still such a great tune.

Oh so did you meet Tiffani then? That is pretty cool :). Yeah I think it was Lindsay Lohan who released "What R U Waiting 4" for a soundtrack or something.

I remember Tammin's short lived music career. I think the singles were Pointless Relationship and Whatever will be. Don't ask me how they go though because I forgot.

Bec Cartwright also had a short lived music career too if you remember. The singles were: All Seats Taken, On the borderline and A matter of time. Then she married Leyton Hewitt and didn't continue music. She makes me think she is Australia's version of Victoria Beckham. How they both married sport stars and their music careers were short.

I just love talking about short lived or failed music careers. I always seem to like the music even though most people would say it is trashy. My favourite story of a failed group is Girl Thing which was put together by Simon Cowell. He pushed them to be the next Spice Girls and they failed miserably. Their first single's video clip "last one standing" is very similar to the Spice Girls "wannabe" video. Many laugh out louds on that one. You should also hear what happened behind the scenes of the group. There were squabbles and even violence (oh my god ). This was all revealed in a special on UK TV called The Big Reunion where past music acts reunite and do a concert.

Here is last one standing:

Hmm I hope this is interesting to you. Haha. :p

Lindsay Lohan's second album "A Little More Personal" was pretty good I reckon. There were some great tracks on it like "confessions of a broken heart", "a beautiful life" and "my innocence". Starts singing: Daughter to father. Daughter to father. :singing::singing:

@Lucas you are amazing with your Bardot and other girlgroup knowledge.
I remember all those solo singles but I didn't think anyone else would!

Ha. Thanks.

Yeah I thought I would have been the only one too who would remember any of this stuff. It's nice to find out I'm not. ;):)

Haha you would be so great at trivia, not even sure what this specific category would be.

I did meet Tiffani but it's funny I 109% forgot until you mentioned her name. That was a long time ago, probshly close enough to when she was still relevant-ish.

Sad thing is I feel like I know all the lyrics to Tammin's first single.

And yes definitely the Bec vs Beckham thing is apt. They even both named a son Cruz!

There is something about short-lived music careers that is fascinating. Do these people keep at it or just resume normal jobs I wonder.

Lol Girl Thing, I thought they sounded familiar but that song rang no bells, finally I realised it is the name of this lesbian night I used to go to in my youth. But yep definitely lolz in that video.
