The Bachelor Australia 2015

ok so family should be banned off social media LOL - she does realise they can still re-edit any positive stuff and rip her sister to shreds if they wanted to???

EXCLUSIVE: 'They want to portray her as the villain': Emily Simms' sister labels The Bachelor production company 'bullies' for how she is being depicted

Emily Simms has already hit out at The Bachelor Australia production company for how she feels they are portraying her on the hit reality show - and now her sister has also jumped to her defense.

Kathryn Seamons told Daily Mail Australia that Shine Productions, the company behind the Network Ten dating show, are 'bullies'.

She claims that Shine 'want Emily to be portrayed as the villain' as she tries to find love with Sam Wood and that Shine producers have 'a lot to answer for'.

Hitting out! Emily Simm's sister Kathryn Seamons told Daily Mail Australia that Shine Productions, the company behind The Bachelor, are 'bullies' for how they are editing Emily to look like 'a villain'

The brunette's sister says attempts to defend Emily on The Bachelor's official social media pages have been removed and that she has been blocked.

'Their posts on the Facebook page are antagonistic, encouraging the Emily-haters,' Kathryn says.

'Emily is lucky that she has a lot of genuine, caring friends, and a very loving family, including extended family, who are trying their hardest to defend her.'

She added: 'That is made all the more difficult though when the people manning the Facebook and Instagram pages for The Bachelor Australia delete comments in support of the girls, and delete any comments where you stand up to the bullies, which, let's face it, is all that these keyboard warriors really are.

What viewers don't see: Kathryn described Emily as 'kind, caring, fun, and actually quite the comedian'

'Not only do they delete your comments, but they then go further in their censorship, by blocking you from their page altogether.'

Kathryn, who works as a nurse, went on to describe the kind of person she thinks Emily really is – and what viewers are missing out on.

'I've known Emily all her life. (yep cos that's how being sisters seems to work) I know that she is kind, caring, warm, fun, and actually quite the comedian,' she said.

'Sure, we've had our arguments – what siblings haven't? But I know the real Emily, who would do absolutely anything for any of her family and friends.'

Standing up for herself: Emily took her Instagram last Wednesday to hit back at her portrayal on the show claiming that it is manipulative editing by The Bachelor production company

'I have been in tears': The brunette wrote on the lengthy Instagram post and my dagger looks and resting bitch face may possibly have reduced others to tears

Emily took her Instagram last Wednesday following the fifth episode in the series to hit back at her portrayal on the show claiming that it is manipulative editing by The Bachelor production company.

'I am going to do something I have been told not to do by people in the biz, and that is to be honest about how I feel,' she wrote. 'I always did it on the show, so I say, why stop now? I have always been very honest, ever since the moment I could speak. I could not be fake if I tried. I have one face, not two,' she started out.

'I have been in tears tonight, not because of the nasty things social media trolls are saying (I wonder if any of you would be brave enough to say it to my face?), but because I am a very sensitive, kind and loving person.'

She added: 'I was bullied relentlessly at school, physically beaten up, emotionally tormented, for being too tall, my lips were too big, my neck was too long (saw a comment about my weird long neck tonight actually. Primary school flashbacks!!), it was never ending.'

'They've made me out to look like a b****!' The make-up artist from Melbourne claims she's the last person to make others feel bad after being bullied in high school
they can't actually show you looking bitchy or talking bitchy if you didn't actually look or talk bitchy ... just saying ...

Referencing her appearance on The Bachelor, Emily also expressed frustration at the decision to highlight her running conflict with love rival Heather Maltman - an early favourite in the pursuit of hunky Sam.

'I could never be cruel to another person. I am nothing like a b***h,' she wrote. 'Reality shows decide the 'characters' for each of us before they even start filming. This is well known about reality TV. So for my funny, joking, laughing at myself, silly side, to not be shown at all, is really very upsetting to me.

'Soooo many hours of footage, and all they choose to show of me is that I found Heather annoying. I am so grateful for the amazing friendships I've formed because of this show, and the worst part about being on this show for me so far is to realise how many nasty, unintelligent people there are in the world, who actually believe everything they see on a reality show, and then feel the need to write nasty things about all of us.'

'I was honest with Heather': The bachelorette revealed her disagreement with Heather was not intense as it was made to seem and the pair aired out their issues and 'understood each other a lot better'
Emily making bitchy remarks about Heather with Jasmin and others really doesn't equal a disagreement - Heather would have been having to take part surely for that? ... I haven't seen them having a go at one another ... did I miss something?

Directly referencing her critics, she added: 'What a sad world we live in. If you think you know me, and think I am a 'b***h', based on how a reality show is edited, then please, look to the top of your screen and click 'unfollow'. #hatersgonnahate thank you so much to all of the beautiful messages I've received over the past few weeks. #love.'

Emily is still in the running for a chance of love with Sam, 35, a Tassie-born personal trainer, who now calls Melbourne home.

Daily Mail Australia have asked both Shine Productions and Network 10 for comment but they have yet to respond. (aka called the office, someone put us on hold whilst everyone there laughed and we didn't like the on hold music so pffttt good enough effort on our part was made & this covers our arse)

I was waiting for this, Madeleine was my favourite! You'd think being a nurse she'd be less of princess, was disappointed when she stuffed her chance.

Sam is coming off as a bit of a sleazebag.
dating so many women at once - how was he ever NOT going to come off as a sleazebag? Once they start telling the girls what they want to hear (I really like you) etc etc it just gets cringey ... and its only going to get worse from here ...

Emily and her sister certainly have an axe to grind. All the "inside" article info I've read lately seem to be coming from that same direction. Not saying Waterfall-Gate didn't happen (although it couldn't have been too different from what we saw when she was sent home anyway) but it's hard to know what to believe when this is all coming from a family with an obvious agenda against the show and Sam.

This can't all be because they think she got a bad edit surely? They all get shit edits. Heather gets the jealous one. Rachel gets the "who the fuck are you?" one. Jasmine the highschool mean girl one. Like get over it. Seems like a horribly entitled family.

At the end of the day they can only paint so much with the edit. Madeline sounded absolutely ridiculous on that date and if they did cut any of it I wouldn't be surprised if it was to save her the embarrassment of her saying something like she didn't want to swim with Sam incase he noticed that her tan lines were uneven or something.

or a very 'attention seeking' one ...

you'd think if there was any action going on under a waterfall they'd have shown it ... it just doesn't gel

Believe it or not but Sam is actually one of the least sleazy ones I've seen lol.
It's always going to look bad when firstly they can't tell them whether they 'love them too' until they're the final one (usually after a nice 'chat' in the fantasy suite for each of the final 3), and they always kiss multiple women just to 'test compatibility'.
At least Sam seems to at least attempt to be genuine in what he says to them.

The most recent US Bachelor was one of the worst I've seen for sheer volume of kissing.[DOUBLEPOST=1439787752][/DOUBLEPOST]You're killing me @crimmy with your added comments lol

See why does Heather get excuses and Madeleine doesn't?
There are actually a lot of girls that refuse to eat in front of someone they like, get awkward and don't want to appear unattractive because they're so nervous.

I find that behaviour quite understandable.

And I mean, if Emily really was the bitch she's made out to be, others would be saying so.
But a lot of the previous girls follow her on instagram and speak well of her.

If Heather (or any of the girls) spent a whole date complaining about how they looked and then freaking refused to eat in front of a guy because they might look unattractive I'd say they were being ridiculous too.

Why are Emily and her family the only people throwing tantrums all over the place despite the fact that all of them are getting their shit sides shown? Why do Osher, Sandra, Heather, Dr Anal Glands, etc all speak highly of Sam? Because it's different strokes for different folks. I'd expect that a lot of the girls would still like Emily. She clearly has friends on the show. I wouldn't expect them to turn on her - especially when they're probably feeling equally scorned for being eliminated.

my comments re Emily were really meaning to say 'don't complain about being portrayed as being bitchy because they can't manufacture those things from thin air'
she DID stand up on the balcony with Jasmin and criticise Heather etc - she does roll her eyes etc

just the same as Heather gets caught out with her faces - sorry but I too would look concerned if the guy who I think has reciprocal "feelings' for me is pashing another girl on the bridge etc ...

difference being Heather isn't going out there complaining they portrayed her all wrong

I'm afraid your comment that there are a lot of girls who refuse to eat in front of someone they like makes me thankful I have sons.
I don't remember ever being afraid to eat in front of a date ... we all eat - all that sort of thing does is make a guy feel uncomfortable or make him totally lose interest!

I asked my son what he'd think if a girl wouldn't eat in front of him and he rolled his eyes - "just another one with issues mum - I'd hit the ground running" "Cheap date though ... that'd be a plus I guess" was heard echoing back up the stairs as he departed ..

Well, on one hand it's ok for Heather to be furious for other girls getting attention on a dating show but Madeleine is ridiculous because she's so nervous she implodes?

If I was Emily's sister I'd be pissed too, all Emily is guilty of is simply not being a fan of Heather.
There's a clear narrative being pushed and it seems people would prefer to believe it, whatever.

lol I agree but there's a lot of girls that do it, I've had it happen to me before and I've generally refused to eat until they do.
But like I said, it's a very common thing and I'm not going to judge someone for their insecurities.

I tend to think Emily is a lovely girl - most people seem to say she is - Jacinda certainly said she was - and I'd take her opinion over a lot of others as she was very down to earth and doesn't have any agenda. She just said Emily suffers from the fact that she says whatever comes into her head at the time - no filter. after seeing how close the cameramen can be I don't see how Emily could forget they were there ... so really she can't shift 'blame' from herself for her behaviour. Own what you say and how you act ...

I just think she (and her sister) would be better off just letting it go rather than complaining about it - all they get from that is more vacuous articles stressing the fact over and over AND they end up looking like they have sour grapes

plus it makes it a little obvious that she isn't the eventual winner ...

When was Heather furious?
I recall her being worried that he might feel more of a connection with others, but it seems pretty dramatic to say furious. Unimpressed maybe?
Unless you mean the ad where they pinked in her cheeks lol
I remember looks on Emily's face that could be construed as furious too, usually when others got roses before her.

Anyone who stands and makes fun of others on a balcony is demonstrating bitchiness. I mean really. Poor innocent lamb Emily. I'm sure she DOES have other sides and lot more depth but denying those things happened is completely rubbish.

You say you're not going to judge someone for their insecurities and yet you've spent the majority of this thread doing nothing but throwing shit at Heather for her over-expressive jealous (jealousy is insecurity) face..that and taking snide cracks at @Insomniac for having the audacity not to hate Heather.

And Emily and her family have done a lot more than be pissed because she's simply "not a fan of Heather". She's all through TV Week today giving it to Sam for being fake, her sister is in the media giving it to Sam and the production team. They're the only ones throwing tantrums despite the fact that all the girls are in the same boat. Pure ugly entitlement.

No, she's not an innocent lamb but she doesn't deserve the backlash she is getting.

lol Heather isn't insecure, she's either a nutcase or an actress.
By the way it's more like you guys reacting to me having the audacity not to like Heather, but whatever continuing the Heather love contest *yack*

Nutcase? Where did that come from? I haven't seen any nutcase behaviour. At all. Not yet anyway.

As for Emily, we'll probably see more of her on her one on one date with Sam, so I guess we'll all be having this conversation again after that lol

I didn't see furious either from her

the thunder faces of Emily and Jasmin during the rose ceremonies to me are hilarious and make me wonder if they don't realise how Sam might see that? let alone the viewers ... look worried but don't look like "you've gotta be fkn kidding me - you give HER a rose before ME ... I swear I'm going to throw SUCH a humungous tanty if you don't hand me the next fkn rose ... WHAT THE!?! YOU GIVE HER a rose before ME ... I didn't spend 5 hours getting read for this ceremony NOT to be given a damn rose ffs ... GIVE ME THE ROSE!!! DO IT ... OHHHHHH he gave me the rose ... oh Bachy ... coo coooooo ... yesssssss of courssssseee I'll take the rose " pick me earlier next time buddy or you'll be wearing your roses where the sun don't shine ...

Nobody has taken cracks at you for having a differing opinion (in fact I think your opinion is actually held by the majority in this thread). You've been on the same general rant for most of the thread but from what I've seen most people that don't hate Heather like you do have been respectful towards you and have even agreed with you on certain points. I'd like you to find any examples otherwise.

Nutcase? Where did that come from? I haven't seen any nutcase behaviour. At all. Not yet anyway.
Yeah I don't think you're going to see it.

Others have agreed though, so at least I don't think I'm seeing things.

Yeah you're taking this way too seriously, I'm not getting into it.
