jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, sprinkled with a little bit of icing sugar (or sometimes maybe just a bit too much icing sugar lol) heated in microwave for about 1 min ... so they are warm and the strawbs have started to get squishy ... topped with caramelised fig yogurt ... yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... tempted to lick the plate ... but BB might be watching ...

Re: cheesecake, I can usually take or leave it and there are so many subpar ones out there. However my great grandmother makes the BEST cheesecake, so much so that I request it over all my previous favourites. She only made it for the first time in the past few years, so many wasted years of not eating it. Pretty much it's her cheesecake or none.

I started eating avocado about 2 years ago and I'm slowly starting to almost like it. I'll never love it and that chocolate avocado thing is seriously gross, but I can tolerate a small amount.

I eat sushi every week but sashimi is actually the worst! Despite being an adult I actually cried the last time I had to eat it, I really did try but I just couldn't.
I could never go on survivor or anything where you have to eat slimy nasty or smelly living or even dead things ...

Me either. I cannot fathom how these people eat these things. I am a fussy eater with just normal food, let alone things that are so not designed for human consumption.
i actually thought they were mad with the concoctions they served up in the I'm A Celebrity show ... and I'd love to know if the contestants end up with chronic stomach/intestinal issues after doing that show .... there were some pretty horrendous things ... one was an ostrick's anus - WTF?!?!

the whole idea of eating flowers .... nope can't do it ...

its only rosewater in turkish delight

if you're talking icky texture then I vote avocado as one of the yukkiest things in the world and then tuna sashimi ... I can handle sashimi if its thinly shaved ... but a big chunk of raw fish ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I went to a sashimi bar in South Korea. It had a horseshoe bar in the middle, and the punters sat at the bar, and the chef in the centre cut up tuna and loaded it on plates in front of us, and we ate all we could eat and drank some (sweet potato vodka.)

There is something really icky about eating all the raw fish you can comfortably eat. I don't mind sushi, but walk out of a bar with a belly absolutely full of nothing but raw tuna and soju is... a bit crook.

that's what gets me with it ... I start chewing on the first lump and can swallow that but from then on its just horrendous and feels like a piece of grissle going round and round in my mouth.

if I have to eat sashimi I need it to be the very thinly shaved stuff ... and then I still have my limits :)

*What I drank was 'soju,' but my stupid autocorrect simply wouldn't believe I wanted to write that.

I love this. Totally my thing too. Except my version would be with maple syrup instead of icing sugar... Mmm add some nuts to that and that would totally make my day

My Mum made a good one - Passionfruit Cheesecake - I think it had condensed milk in it .... I must ask her about it :)
