In all honesty I can't blame them. Anzac day has ceased being about solemnly commemorating the lives of fallen soldiers over a pointless war that had nothing to do with Australia. Instead it is now an excuse for over-the-top nationalistic/patriotic jingoism. *yuck*

We have that little worm John Howard to thank for that as I when I was in school in the 90s I can't recall Anzac day receiving this type of saturated coverage in the media.

Their narcissistic selfies fit right in with that shift in attitude so like I said I can't fault them for that.

Lol, the alert bit reminded me of the ch10 days when the intruders would come in and they would have red lights flashing, sirens goings, and the words 'INTRUDER ALERT!' on the big screen tv. Everyone in the house would scream really loud and get really excited.
