I think @Consuela may be using the Spanish name. It's called "Mangosteen" in North QLD.

@pawlini - tastes like a bit like a tangy tropical fruit salad. It's good. I've seen it at Fruit Shops in SE Queensland

Woops bit of a brain fart there, but yes it's mangosteen en inglés.


@jessy_girl @pawlini Hard to describe the taste really but delcan probably said it best as it tastes like a combination of so many fruits. Despite the name it tastes nothing like mangoes. They really are delicious - hence why they're known as the queen of fruits. They're in season at the moment so if you're lucky you can normally get them at your local supermarket otherwise try your local greengrocers/markets.
