I just did the parking ticket thing, paid 3 hours used 20 mins, saw a lady and her daughter going to get a ticket, ran my fat arse over and said excuse me, I have paid until 1 o'clock and I'm not going to use it would you like it? She was so appreciative, I just smiled and said pay it forward, then as I drove off I got big wavesso good!
This is so lovelyI have noticed some people feeling the spirit of Xmas isn't around much now days, so I encourage the gift of Xmas Kindness, for example when I went and got my morning coffee, tired, bit grumpy cos I have a sore back and a lady gave me a bit smile, so I paid for her coffee without her knowing, and told them to tell her once she got it (I was gone by this time) to say "Thank you, I needed that smile, Merry Christmas" other things to do are if you parking on the street even for 30 mins, pay for the whole 2/3hours then when you done, and see someone park, give them the remainder of your ticket, if you at the supermarket, instead of returning the trolly to get your $1/$2 out, give it to someone to use, saves them the hassle and they get to keep the $1/$2, when in traffic and you see someone waiting to cut in, slow down, give them a smile and a wave and let them in! Small things can make someones whole day, and make your own day better, spread the love in a stressful season for many people, show them the kindess of strangers, regain the sprit!
A Key to Rebecca by Ken Follett, and I just loved it!What book did you read Trala? I use to read a lot of books, but haven't been able to get into any lately. I do like the real crime genre, I am very interested in how the human mind works, and how people can do such horrible things like murder etc. Not a lot has been happening here, Sydney and their daily storms, though today no storm

Good for you Muts. A year ago, I had to leave nursing after working for 27 years, and 16 of those in Palliative care. it took its toll both physically and emotionally. Still trying to recover. Ive lost a lot of myself, but like you trying to get it back. Ive found coming here, at times has helped. There are some funny people around. Though lately if you look upstairs, not so sure! What a mess!! People get so invested in the lives of the Hm's, that they forget to ...relax! Anyway, I am off to visit some friends xx
This is so lovely
See, I knew you were a sweetheart lol.
I went shopping all last week for Christmas gifts, only half way there now, and with children it is very difficult. My youngest who is two, went into tantrum mode and there was no way of stopping him... a lovely lady went to the café and came back with a straw with a marshmallow at the end of it and gave it to him. She then offered me to come into a play center she works at in the shopping center and said she would give me a free coffee and just enjoy some quiet time. It was so unexpected and so very kind of her.
It's wonderful that the world has people like you guys![]()

I just realised the date and I know today is a tough tricky one for you, just wanted you to know that you are amazing xx
I am really determined to try this next time I'm in line for a Boost or lunch or something!!
I think I'd rather pay someone to shop for the rest of my Christmas gifts.
Well it's off to Toys R Us now![]()

Your 5 year old?!?Wow such nice people in this thread, and of course the wide world too. It'snive to hear there are still good people around, it can be easy to forget! Random acts of kindness really can go a long way, and I believe very much in paying it forward.
Oh @Sweetgeek I do not envy you. I had to drop my 5 year old at an excursion in Chatswood so thought I might tackle toys r us, I took one look at the line and ran far far away.
That's cute that your little boy likes Elsa, and great that you don't discourage it. My little bro was obsessed with Snow White as a kid and really wanted a dress like hers but my dad wouldn't buy it for him. Eventually my mum just bought it for him and, shock horror, he turned out fine. Really they're just toys, who cares.
