there seems to be a running online joke about liking Nickelback:)


Oh, poor Nickelback — the band just can’t catch a break on these here internets. Not only was it deemed the number one turnoff amongst potential dating partners, but it has also been the target of a newspaper takedown and a football fan boycott, and even lost a popularity contest to a pickle.
Now, some clever person has figured out how to help Facebook users identify their friends who have Liked Nickelback, purportedly to make them easier to unfriend. A simple Facebook link identifies fans of “page_id=6248267085″ on Facebook.

Firstly, I don't like being alluded to as an ass. Secondly, I never said anything. I just posted to make a point of how ironic it WOULD be were it to occur. NEVER did I assume it would. In fact, I'm quietly confident it WON'T. What an ASS you are for making an ASSUMPTION. So much for David fans being polite, finally a joke I CAN laugh at from your guys. Congrats xx

Really channeling a certain sister aren't we - oh yes, I did.
 
It's not that you can't admit to liking Nickelback, except that socially it's seen as a barometer for bad taste in music - I.e limp-wristed commercial radio friendly 'rock'. It's just not gritty, kick you in the guts rock & roll.

But I like Matchbox 20 and they get lumped in that group a bit too, so if you love it then better to own it, I reckon ;)

Gees, it was a play on words.
I got told I was talking out of my ass the other day and I didn't arc up, I just explained my point of view.
Calm your farm for a bit and stop with the moral outrage ok?
The fact that you couldn't wait to rush in with your moment in history from a family member that you couldn't wait to post was actually quite a bitchy thing to do.

Oh please, don't even try and say you were not having a go at me. Absolute joke. I'm sorry I'm morally offended by posts made here by certain individuals. Nor did I "rush". I simply remembered it, searched for it, and posted it. Yes it was bitchy. As is the tone of your last two posts. As are many of the posts in this and the Priya thread. As is the behaviour of a certain sister.

Keep clutching at straws honey. Maybe you should follow in the stead of respectful David stans like Kismet, although she will not agree with the post I am writing now. You know I love you girl!

But then, I was also buying New Kids on the Block 'tapes' back in the day...so maybe that's not saying much.
