They're both the type of people that have to be right IMO. They also have animosity because they're so similar and and are seeing their own less attractive personality flaws in the other and it's confronting for them.

Yep, you're right, I think. Perhaps not helped by the competitive streak in both of them either. Bit of a shame because its wasted opportunity when they butt heads like that; I think Dave and Priya are quite astute, and their observations are worth considering and learning from.
