Dave and Priya have a friendship, and they both had some valid points in what they were saying. What I don't get is why the automatic denial; why can't either of them, for one minute, consider that maybe there's some truth to what the other is saying?

If my mate told me I was being condescending, I'd at least give it some thought that maybe I was coming across that way.

They're both the type of people that have to be right IMO. They also have animosity because they're so similar and and are seeing their own less attractive personality flaws in the other and it's confronting for them.
