When the Neighbours emerged into the House bearing luxury food platters, they were bound to be well-received by the HMs! But just what do the four think of the nine?
When the faces of Lina, Penny, Richard and Tom followed their loud voices across the wall, Housemates were quick to put the newbies under fire with some Hot Seat-worthy questions.
At the close of the night the Housemates had formed varying impressions of the gatecrashers, but they weren’t the only ones with something to say.
Lina, the 25-year-old Chinese-born fashion manager admitted to being a little overwhelmed by the intense questioning – and a little suspicious! “I feel like they were very inquisitive, which I guess is to be expected,” she told Big Brother, “but there’s some Housemates you can tell that are trying to suss us out more than others.”
Who were the ‘some’ more than the ‘others’? Why, ‘Strategy Dave’ and ‘Prisus’, of course!
“David’s a hawk,” said Tom, the 26-year-old marketing manager from Sydney. “He’s watching you. Every single thing you say, he is watching what you’re saying and he’s analysing everything at the moment.”
“I feel like they’ve become so strategic in their questions,” 30-year-old dancer Penny observed – and she reckoned Priya and Leo were actually the trickiest.
Lina too thought the House lion was offering feline levels of aloofness. “I just feel like he’s not gonna let his guard down anytime soon,” she told Big Brother.
And though the Four all agreed the Housemates were “scheming”, not everybody was rattled by the burning inquisition.
“They were a bit tough on us but they could have been a lot worse,” said Richard, the 25-year-old banking customer service representative.
While Penny seems set to become the in-House optimist. “Everyone’s being so nice!” she enthused to Big Brother. Perhaps none nicer than David, whose frozen-chicken-and-rice analogy at dinner had her eyes popping in wonderment. (#Davenny, anyone?)
Tom, too, thought David was a pretty special bloke. “I think he’s a real genuine person,” Tom said, while Lina sympathetically observed that Housemates unfairly shut David down or dismissed him when speaking.
Perhaps David could take some advice from Tom, who had the best strategy for tackling the Housemates head on: go in as a team, come out on top.
“Like a wolf pack!” he said.
a pretty positive article for David...there's also a video
