I believe so. I think 9's contract runs out this year, thats why they dont seem to care about it. They are just using it as a filler and its classed as local content. A certain percentage of their programmes have to be whats deemed local content. They ( all networks) seem to have got around this by extending their news bulletins, instead of making some decent dramas. The ABC is about the only station that makes and shows some good decent UK drama series. I dont know what they will all do when the novelty of Home Renovations and Cooking Shows, wears off.

...lol!... then wouldn't it make more logical sense for them to put 5 times the amount of Big Brother onto the TV to cut down on making other more expensive shows to fill the quota?... lol!... just saying...

When I suggested that they could have put a lot of it on either GO or GEM, Bleachey Dude, said it would cost them money. To my mind, if they are really filming 24/7 and surely the duty of care would insist on that, then I do not know why 9 just seems to want it to be finished as soon as possible. For Godsakes, a 1995 James Bond movie on at 7 30 on a Friday night.

They just dont seem to have the imagination, or the right people in the right jobs, to make it work. The first few years, when it was streamed "live" people didnt mind paying $5 a month for the service. By todays rates, I think a lot of people would pay $10.00 a month for live streaming. Surely that would be a revenue raiser. Theres no reason even now, why they cant have it on from 10 p.m. until midnight, each night. I suppose it all comes down to commitment, costs and their investment in the programme being a success.

The way they have stuffed the starting times around this year, is nothing short of stupid. Imagine if 7 started putting Home & Away on at 8 p.m. some nights, 8 30 p.m. other nights, or 8 40 p.m. they would just lose their loyal following. Thats whats happened with BB, they lost the plot and the audience in the 1st month. It was 3 weeks before I knew all the womens names.

...^^^^ a great post tedfthis... I so agree with all of what you said... it is so true what you are saying!... why on Earth didn't we get Big Brother tonight?... they've canned Sunday nights... it looks like they are going to slowly butcher the show up as they did last year doesn't it?... Channel 9 have no respect for the show or us viewers at all do they?... cheers.

I started on Microsoft Paint :) then graduated to Gimp (which is like photoshop) - just taught myself & for stuff I didn't know I used either google or youtube to find out how to do specific things...

It's fun but you need to have a few hours to do something really great & blend the colours etc to make it look top notch, which, I don't have these days - so most of my stuff is knocked up in about 20-30 mins, its better to get something on here than nothing at all..

Just give it a try in something easy like Paint to start with... I can tell you that I have folders on my computer full of pictures that didn't work out or stuffed up :) The fun is in creating it, the icing on top is posting it...

...hey Rose711... I've drawn and painted since I was first able to as a kid... I've done it all of my life... when computers came out and became more advanced to the point that people could paint and draw on a tablet and could produce digital artwork I was in on it straight away... what with Photoshop producing other natural ways of being able to create stuff it was a natural progression to start photo manipulations such as what I can produce on here today...

...it was all a matter of going onto Google and typing in 'Digital art tutorials' type of requests that send you mainly to 'Youtube' tutorials... such as these below that help you in getting you started...




...there are millions of them out there to get you started... if you have Photoshop reduced to using half of your screen and have the YouTube tutorial going on the other half of the screen and do it as they show you then you learn how to do it pretty quickly!...

...I was given a writing tablet as a gift by one of my kids for my birthday or something and have used it ever since... it is similar to one of these in these tutorials on how to use one...



...it took me about two weeks of constantly teaching myself on how to use Photoshop to finally learn everything that I need to know to produce what I do today on here... and that was probably about 5 years ago methinks from memory... it's all a matter of practice practice practice!... lol!...

...once you feel confident enough to do one and put it on here you will be so happy with yourself that you did!... never be afraid to post anything on this thread.... if you think it's terrible or amateurish post it anyway... it's the thought... the idea... the humour that we like best...as Thing above says... 'it's better to get something on here than nothing at all'... (great advice Thing)... nobody ever criticises it for be amateurish that I've ever seen... it's because we all appreciate the effort and humour that went into making it that matters the most...

...if you can't do it... as I've mentioned before... make requests and if we can do them we will try and put it up for you... but there's nothing better than having a go at it and putting in here yourself believe me!...
