Poor Max & Karsten. 40k is still a huge amount, but it would be hard not to be disappointed when the people before you won so much more.
At least they got their wedding for free

It usually gets sold later on. The $ just goes back to Ch 9 so I guess they don't see a point in showing the auction. What happened to the apartment they all did together?

10k! Couldn't have happened to nicer people?
Is it bad that my first thought was "karma"?

Yay Frank!Frank got the second one I think.
Block applications are going to plummet after this horseshit
No way would I leave my family for three months for $10k
Not that this would necessarily make you want to leave your family, but I would have thought they would get the $500 per week like they do on BB.

I hadn't thought of that. I bet Shaynna's cackling hysterically right nowI feel for them except for D&D.
Shaynna should go up to Dee & say do you want any tips.

Married by Scott Cam. That's got to be a booby prize right there.
Yeah they still get paid the stipend but that would go straight to a nanny for me. It's more that I don't think I could handle the devastation of what happened tonight and then I'd be sitting there thinking I missed out on 3 months of my child's life other than the rare days I was able to see him and turned my husband's upside down, and for what? Obviously when everyone makes decent cash then it's great and I'd be like hell yeah, let's go for it but tonight was a stark reminder that although people in the past few seasons have been doing extremely well, it's no guarantee. I'd be absolutely crushed. Not that this would necessarily make you want to leave your family, but I would have thought they would get the $500 per week like they do on BB.

That's an interesting thought, I wonder if they do. If they are a couple and spend roughly 12 weeks away (probably more), then you'd be wanting to earn at least $40000 over reserve just to cover income loss.

Felt happy and sad at the same time. Very emotional.
Where do young couples ( the ones who bid on several of them) get that kind of money to buy million dollar plus apartments?
You can buy a apartment on the Esplande in Port Melbourne for under a million. I know what I would prefer.

Most are overseas investors.

I thought the boys handled their win very graciously considering the circumstances.
"Stokes and Smith’s apartment, which featured a secret rooftop room, was nabbed by a young Chinese couple, both 20, on behalf of their overseas parents for $1,710,000."

Well not D&D but also because I know they're doing it again so they'll likely make money then. But M&K and M&C - poor kids.
M&C has high hopes & plans to use the money on the place they are renovating at Kirra on the Gold Coast.

I thought that too, but they looked really young, like early 20's.Most are overseas investors.
