Episode Day 33 (10/10/2014) Daily Show

Trivialises or minimises?

Cat was totally feeling as though she had to try and justify her actions, it was kind of amusing to watch.

I loved Priya's point about Cat. She said something along the lines of Cat not wanting to discuss the details of her marriage/divorce out of respect for her ex as he is not in the house to defend himself, yet she hasn't afforded the same respect to Lawson's girlfriend.

On another note I found it totally bizarre listening to Sandra be all high and mighty about morals. Her bit about how if you like someone you should have the decency to wait until you are on the outside and see what happens was very telling.
I find it mindboggling she can sit there and involve herself in these conversations when it was pretty obvious she was distraught Sam didn't invite her to the sanctuary the other week and then basically confessed her love for him after having a minor tanty. "YOU WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE ELSES"
So much creepy. I don't like Sandra much anymore.
and wasn't Sandra the one telling cat it wasn't one sided, and both commiserating with each other over their mutual situations....only difference is cat got what she wanted, Sandra's efforts failed.

OR Sandra is practicing what she was preaching in the round table discussion with Travis, Aisha, Ryan etc and would not push anything with Sam or look for anything with Sam until they are out of the house and he was prepared to end his prior relationship ...
she made it know to Sam that she liked him but I really didn't see her pushing it after she's made Sam aware - he then (I think) promptly backed off with showing her too much affection but is still friendly and matey with her
which is how Cat and Lawson SHOULD have handled things

could have ... should have ... DIDNT

well I very much agree on the Lawson/cat thing although I think they shouldn't have gotten to a point where they need to back off. I think Sam saw Sandra as one of the guys and was comfortable with her, she tried sucking on his ear, was getting jealous, was having little chats with cat about it. I have no doubt that if sam gave the green light she would jump at the chance. Somewhere along the line it must have been made clear to her, so the only thing she could do was back off. Thankfully she did though. I think it is great that she can see what is happening with cat and Lawson is wrong, however watching it, knowing what we know, she comes across as hypercritical because she was once encouraging cat and empathizing until she realized she did not have a chance with her chosen one.

I watched last night's episode, and I have come to the conclusion that Lawson's tears were fake, or at least, that he didn't learn anything from the experience or doesn't care. If he did, he would be distancing himself from Cat now, out of respect for his girlfriend, ending it would be an attempt to show his girlfriend on the outside that he made a mistake but is learning from it. However he and Cat seem even closer than they did before. He said that he always self-destructs his relationships. Get rid of this ticking time bomb please!

Lawson's tears in the diary room : Lawson has realised how he is being portrayed and he's been busted for his bullshit. Cat should know better and hasn't backed off, Lawson needed to grow some balls and back away, but hasn't. His tears are for his own weakness. Nothing more.

I agree he is very weak. But I also think that he's not stupid. And what he is continuing to do is stupid...

Cat has a point that cheating isn't the worst thing you can do in a relationship...I'm sure that cushion thinks what Jason did to it is worse than cheating :vomit:

Saw David pulling weights briefly when Skye was saying how Sandra is now hanging out with the boys and not joining in with the girls like she said she would (you see her on the treadmill and David and others are doing gym stuff)... Ryan I don't recall seeing at all.
Well that says it all. 1 was "spotted" doing weights in the background & 1 wasn't spotted at all. Surely the directors should have a checklist of all the HMs names to make sure each & every one at least says ONE thing on each episode.

Alex has said categorically that there will NOT be an equal representation of all housemates in the footage. The ones who make stories will be shown, the ones that won't will be booted as a result. If they weren't seen it's because they didn't do anything...

Now the other house mates are starting to openly talk about how close Cat and Lawson are in the house.

I believe Lawson is sorry, probably for lots of reasons-his gf, the disappointment of his family, that he may have lost the game, the horror of realising he's this years Tully. I also believe that when people are conflicted they make dumb choices and tell themselves lots of lies. Eg, "my friendship with Cat from now on is strictly platonic, its no big deal that I scratch her arms when we're surrounded by other HMs. In fact, I'd probably even do it for Ryan if he asked nicely…….and he was a girl…..and he looked like Cat…."

No updates to be seen on http://www.jump-in.com.au/show/bigbrother/2014/

Why the frick do they only give us clips of things that HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED IN THE DAILY SHOW ? There's no point in going to the short clips they put on there to only learn things we already know. What a waste of time... Who's going to watch those clips ? I tiny minority of people who refuse to watch a daily show is all, or rewatching an important piece of footage that's about it, but it's not like a new angle or anything, it just takes the master edit!!

Can they at least give us one good reason to go to check out the latest news?

During the "Hotel Task" Ryan seems to have gotten a pretty good edit. But take out the last 5 days & we barely saw him. Now surely he hasn't been "doing nothing" for 25 odd days. If he had been all the HMs would be nominating him for "not being himself", "not doing anything" & "flying under the radar". Instead, all we hear from the evicted HMs is how cool Ryan is, how funny Ryan is & how nice/caring Ryan is...yet we saw nothing in the 1st 25 or so days that'd even indicate that Ryan is funny, cool or caring. I'm glad he's getting a good run on tele now though, finally.

Perhaps he realises he dug his own grave and now he had to lie in it - so he knows it's been shown to australia so he might as well have fun and do whatever he wants cause he is already fucked...
