Missed why Jake so in need of money..?

I thought we all know by now that they heavily edit the post-2012 BB seasons...

One of the many problems with the way they edit the show today.

They think it's necessary to air copious amounts of contrived storytelling and forced drama but leave out all the real stuff about the HM's that the viewers actually need to know to not only form proper opinions about each HM but also so that we aren't being left feeling confused or as though we've missed out on something when nominations come around or when the HM's mention another's "hard life" and we have no clue what the hell they're talking about.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I honestly cannot understand how they used to be able to fit virtually an entire day and still air nearly every single major event from the house within said day back during Channel 10's 20 minute episodes, and yet they give us way less footage and not enough HM development now even though Channel 9 has 60+ minutes per episode to work with. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Also they've been saying Jake is from Brisbane since he started in the house, so maybe he hasn't told the housemates where he actually lives, since they're doing the brisbane angle.

I also noticed Aisha said she's going to 'see the world' when the 20K was given to her. So again - didn't seem THAT needy if you're gonna use the money to go travelling!
Also...I could be wrong but...didn't she say that she already got to see the world when she traveled with her footballer ex? Not that it matters. She can do what she wants with the money...but to cry and go on like she really NEEDED it was a bit much...if she is just going to use it for something she has already done before.

I was staggered that Lawson & Aisha chose Jake for the $5k. He lives in Bondi with Tim Dormer, he's an ex-tennis "pro" (I use the term "pro" lightly here), he's a Uni student...how is he seen as being in "dire financial ruin" and desperately in need of the $5k? Lawson is the man! Massive props to him for giving Aisha the $20k & only taking $5k for himself. But as for the $5k that went to Jake...hmmmm...I probably would've given it to Dion or Skye - she would've appreciated it a whole lot more.

It's odd watch Tim's intro from last year.

Says he's a uni student and has no money in his bank account.

Sound familiar?

Now lets look at his intro package on the launch night at 44mins in.

We get a glimpse of his place. Doesn't seem too bad for a student with no money. It's certainly better than every place a struggling student I have known have lived in.

Last night when Gemma & Jake were selected for eviction a part of me was wanting the HM's to say, "Jake is a bigger threat then Gemma, I vote for Jake to leave". Don't get me wrong, I was happy Gemma got evicted, but I really want Jake to be the next one out. Have a look at how Tim lies when asked about his friendship with Jake -

I think that was just to throw people off the Jake and Tim are real-life housemates scent.
Jake was probably from Brisbane before he moved to Sydney. But, really, aren't we all from somewhere else?

Yeah I had to laugh that someone living in Bondi living 'pay cheque to pay cheque' was seen as so needy. Sounds like half the Australian population (bar the Bondi thing).
Meh, there's clearly more to it than what we know.

They came up with the conclusion that Jake was struggling financially on the outside pretty easily, so I don't think it is something that is not true, to the housemates.

But for all we know, Jake is probably just a shit at managing his money.

^^ Haha! Exactly this.
Obviously we have no way of knowing his financial situation, but he does have nice, currently trendy clothes for someone that is "struggling". And clothes cost a (BLEEP) load. Unless Tim donated them to him for the show.

My verdict: Shit at managing his money. No sympathy for that.

Nah, maybe
