Totally agree. I think Drew has an ulterior motive for publicly shaming Matt. They are not friends on FB and they don't follow each other on Twitter. I don't agree with Matt supporting that protest but I also wonder why Drew is doing this...

It's racism. Australia is too full of it IMO. We are a multicultural country and people need to embrace. For me personally anything which may reduce it any way or reduce it any way is a big plus from me. If it means naming and shaming, then for it! Of course everyone has differing opinions but that is mine!

Pretty much this. Matt is quite close-minded and judgemental (we saw that in the house so him sharing that is no surprise) but Drew certainly had motives for sharing that which went beyond making a stance against racism. He's not usually one to make these kind of stances on SM so it was obviously to put crap on Matt. Seems weird for him to go there now. Maybe the reality of there being new HMs has sunk in.
Although I think Drew was completely full of shit and cared more about having a swipe at Matt than racism...you're dead right about Australia being way too full of it. Matt's attitude stinks and unfortunately it's a common one amongst Aussies.

I think that anyone who is racist is a bad person, no matter what else they do such as charity or working in the army. If someone can dismiss someone and be discriminatory against them purely on stereotypes, their race, religion, colour or values and beliefs, then they in my opinion are not good people and anyone IMO can be named and shamed. Again this is only my opinion.

I just don't think it's an effective way of getting someone to rethink their beliefs, and Drew is certainly intelligent enough to know that. Bigotry is generally ignorance, i.e. not understanding the people you're biased against or why your position is hurtful and wrong. You solve that by teaching, not by getting your Twitter followers to tell the person he's shit.

I think Matt had condemned himself, and there's no question of what he is. I just happen to be of the opinion, based on my own experiences, that this kind of tactic doesn't fix what talking to someone about their fucked-up beliefs often can.

Drew can do whatever he likes, but after watching him on BB and kind of stalking him over the last 10 months or so I get this vibe from him that he thinks he is superior to most people, might not be true, but that is how I feel.
And I did say that Matt is in the wrong.
