So no it wasn't offered to them without any strings attached, their enrichment directly comes at the expense of the housemates too hence their displeasure and entitlement. Is that hard so hard to grasp?

Oh the poor babies! It's not like Big Brother said they're going to go without any nourishment for 7 days. Priya should tell them she'll buy them a cup of cement each, so they can harden the fuck up!

Exactly and for doing absolutely nothing but sit on their arse and force the others to starve for their own gain.

Had they won it by doing a challenge I'm sure the hms would feel differently but not they have done nothing to 'deserve' the money.
 
Its such a wasted opportunity for Katie and bitchface. This could have made them heroes.

They did do a challenge. You think that wasn't a challenging decision to make? A challenge doesn't have to be physical. Early in the episode they were commenting on how something was bothering Katie.

They wouldn't be complaining if they were lucky enough to be put in those shoes. And they won't be complaining if they get given a different power and/or prize later in the game. All they are doing is showing their hypocricy. Especially Travis who earlier in the show, was talking about how rich people don't need to feel guilty if they drive a nice car when they see someone driving a shitty one, and that he'd just buy nice food for himself...
 
oh and regarding Sam.... PFFT. He actually said "its only 10K".... hes a bloody para olypmian!! 10K is prolly nothing to him!! some ppl have their head stuck up their arse!!

yes and no. they would escape nominations and eviction for quite a while.

AND all housemates receive $75 a day for being in there... if they lasted the 10 weeks that would be $5250 in the bank anyways.

I don't know, she and Priya are bitching at each other, viewers might save her based on that alone... Plus the bleeding hearts might vote for her compassion (weakness) too...

This was a really good comment on the article and AGAIN reminds me that I need to go check out Reality Check.

"You should check out last weeks ep of Reality Check on ABC iView. They talked about Big Brother, it was fascinating. Once you get out of the BB House you are famous, but not rich, yet you are expected to live a rich & famous lifestyle. You are not famous (or talented) enough to be employed in the media, but you are too famous to get a "real job". It doesn't often end well, it's all a bit sad really."

This ^^^ is why I'd not only take that $10k but I wouldn't allow myself to be pressured into sharing it. My nature would probably lead me to buying everyone one big feed and piss up the night before the week was over to celebrate getting through it but I'd always remember that this game isn't fair nor is it meant to be. It wasn't fair when some HMs were offered choices last season in return for rewards - one in particular was offered it several times - while others never got offered a thing. Or why suddenly the week Tully won Showdown the prize was $5k while others who won got no $. Life isn't fair, BB isn't fair and those HMs who are crying now won't be worried about little Mrs B when the tables are turned and they have the power nor should they be. $10k is a hell of a lot more than they're going to have waiting for them on the outside as we've seen from the Post BB thread.
