Eviction Stage design, On-Air Graphics and Theme Song Talk

Didn't one of the girls have a near "nipple slip" trying to high-five the audience on her way down the walkway last year?

It kinda makes the HMs awkward looking, trying to reach the audience in a stupor.
Yes, as I recall Sharon had a few close-calls (Eviction 1). ;)

Flashback: Rod Morris reflects on past BB sets, including the beginning of "the great (plasma) wall of coomera", with still photos of the sets 'as not seen on tv':

It seemed to work at the time but god, in hindsight that 2005 set was horrid!

Another wierd thing I've noticed about the newer eviction "walkway" is that it gets higher the closer it gets to the stage... just wierd... If they got rid of the steps at the top that issue would be eliminated...
Isn't it more the case that the walkway is level but the auditorium gets lower closer to the stage?

The walkway is basically a ramp going down towards the stage with the auditorium.

@SepiaBird Yeah I saw that earlier (also posted to their Twitter and Instagram feeds). I'm wondering whether the black seat covers are to hide any empty seats?

I don't know how you found this little gem but WOW!

Loved hearing the insight into the original roots of the sets... and all of those HD photos of every season's stage, especially the ones they showed in the video, had me drooling! Amaaaaaaaaaazing!

Boogsie did i was there seeing it live hahaha

Seems like a lot of effort and cost just to cover a few seats that MIGHT not have people in them.

It basically makes them "invisible" on camera unless you're the sort of person who sits looking at the background. And empty seats are seen as embarrassing, so I bet that is what the covers are for.

Although I know some shows just block out the empty areas with a black sheet, which seems a lot less labour-intensive than this. O_O

Ugh, so projection screen is back eh. Didn't I read that the projectors (all 3 of them) were leased and cost quite a lot of money? Hopefully the other set pieces make it look less plain.

But then, the worst part I see is a polished black floor. So that probably means there aren't any other set pieces (of significance). Well, other than a couch.

It will be like the 2003 stage to the 2004 stage, minor differences.
I wouldn't call the 2004 stage a 'minor' update of 2003's - it was completely revamped. The only part that was kept was the raised part at the back with the blue LED strip.

2004's stage was the best one we've ever had tbh.

Also, Alex M, use this photo of 2004 to see how you use a projection screen successfully.
