Hahaha yeah I was just going to say Mike is shameless in his diarrhea claims, a quick trawl of his posting history here would suggest he is a bit obsessed actually. But he kind of cleared that up himself.

The closest I can do is some generic "tummy bug" and let people fill it in, otherwise I'm too paranoid that everyone is just picturing me incapacitated on the toilet all day.

Really I just say I'm sick, I've never actually had to elaborate.

I must say it depends on where you work, that excuse doesn't fly in healthcare, they want MORE details

Oh you're implying I'M the shit fetishist? You little hypocrite haha

Best part is when I actually DO have diarhhea I bring it to work with me and let the cleaner earn his wage.

Do you really need an excuse? Just say "Hello, I'm not coming in today". Who wants to be continuously LIED to by LAZY WORKERS?

For me (I obviously don't have kids) I think staying at home so the kids can spend the day with dad is a fair thing Coops, can they come to you guys and do a afternoon tea or something? two birds one stone deal? Are you siblings going to see him?
I'll be scattering my dads ashes tomorrow at the beach (fingers crossed its a nice non windy day) be an interesting emotional day Im sure!
I find having a dead dad on Fathers Day does have some advantages.

1. People are super nice to you because, well your dad is dead.

2. You save $50 on a present

Sending you love, strength, blue skies and no surprise winds. Only thing worse than scattering human ash is scattering human ash and a surprise gust hits and inadvertently getting a mouthful... Xo

Oh yeah, fair enough! I work with babies so the slightest sign of even a sniffle and no one wants me around, but of course it's totally fine for a baby to get me sick. That said, I've only taken one sick day in this job. I did work in healthcare many years ago and you're right, too much info is never enough.

I have no idea what you're talking about, coprophiliac :angelic:

EXACTLY! give you 4 gastro patients, get gastro, ring up and say Yeah I got gastro... when was the last movement? You know you can't come back for such and such a time, or worse when doing agency and you get called in because all the permeant staff are off because they have gastro and they don't tell you until you arrive, but unlike permeant staff, you don't get sick pay, so you have 2 day at least before you can work again... even if you don't get symptoms!

Right, partner is at work or fucking Mutley, I just can't be sure at the moment and I have a night to myself.

Here are the plans:-

Poached eggs, jumbo kitkat and a 7pm James Bond movie that was made before Jesus was born.

Winner or loser?[DOUBLEPOST=1409989788][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm not a fan of the jumbo kitkat, much prefer the original four fingers.
