Scary shit. Saying you deserve to have your throat slit based on your freaking HM preference is just so nutso and another example of people taking things too far based on stuff that's said around here.

Yeah it's a bit crazy. Especially because I was still quite new at the time so I was like what in the heck is going on here. I didn't even fight back at the time which you know would never happen now haha. I'm pretty sure the worst one was someone who was using a second account but even though they edited that crappy post, at least they were doing it here and not elsewhere (that I knew of at least) which was my original point about littlebear and delcan. There are still a couple of people on the forum who I never respond to because I know I'll have nothing nice to say but at least if you air things out "face to face" there's a chance you can get past it and move on instead of taking it to Twitter ffs.

Exactly - and kids are off limits as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure that most of us on here have had confrontations and disagreements about one thing or another on here over time, but I can say that it's pretty much always a 2 way thing - back and forth, giving as good as you get then get the hell over it.
I've never seen someone take a stab on twitter like they're hiding behind a door and yelling at you from another room so they can preserve some imagined 'reputation' on a forum lol.

haha that door analogy is a good one! I haven't seen anything like that Twitter stuff either. Apparently BBB e-cred's real in these streets. Even just typing that last sentence is cracking me up lol. Wait until some of the people returning see there are now likes and badges on here. It'll be like the Wild West.

Whenever I start getting the feeling that an account may be a fake one or somebody's second account I pretty much always disregard everything they say because I'm pretty sure people only set extra accounts up to troll and attention seek and therefore anything they say is probably for that purpose. Just like this Louise person on Twitter. It's obviously an attention seeking thing if she (or he) is actually naming other posters. I don't really know what people hope to achieve by "dobbing" on people here to the HMs. Some of us have had people on Twitter actually take screenshots of our posts here and tweet them to Ed, saying we were either being mean to them or to Ed himself. What did they think? He was going to like them more if they prove they have his back against the mean BBB posters? P-l-ease!

Exactly! It's like slamming the door and chucking a tantrum behind it and thinking it'll be effective somehow. I had no idea we even had reputations to protect on here (hee), but imagine for a second that you think you do. Since when would it be out of order to tell other posters you think they're being too harsh or unfair or misjudging someone? It happens all the time and life goes on. I'm fine with people thinking that of things I've posted, and they're always welcome to say so, as I've done the same. But the name-calling on Twitter was so unwarranted (if I do say so myself) and overinvested and silly, obviously a reasonable discussion wasn't possible. The point of the whole thing was just beyond me.

haha actually I think that's what they do think is going to happen. Like some reality dude is really going to care that a stranger dons their Superwoman cape because people with fake names on a forum don't happen to like them. I was lucky that Kaz and a few of the other old time posters sorted me out about all the fake accounts that spring up and the backgrounds of some people on here. It definitely made more sense why some act like they do. I haven't gone so far as to put anyone on ignore but now at least I know not to give certain people a response when they're desperately seeking one. It's all rather funny now.
