its like a fantasy world not a house, I wonder how that will go down with audiences? you think they would have like to have kept that part secret till launch. daily mail runs anything

But like surely they can't just build this amazing, two storey house and make it the last season? I'm hoping to god this investment means they're intending on sticking around a bit longer and renew the contract.

investment? if anything they used fake walls and shit to take down easier when its done. if the house doesnt look like a house then they built a set.

And there is 16 people sitting in the lounge.... Thank God, hopefully this will meant that there will be 16 HMs this year.
I count 17

Edit: HAHAHAHA. Ignore me. I thought the guy second from the right had a head behind him. It's just his Mohawk.

I wonder what the coloured arm bands mean? .
Have we seen any pictures that look like a gym at all?

Edit: yep should have read the article first:

But just as the thought of relaxation crossed my mind, one sight of the state-of-the-art gym got my adrenalin running.

With treadmills, bikes, bench presses and weights, this well-equipped fitness haven was complete with a mirrored wall to reflect the bikini body results of an intense workout.

Damnit. Pepperoni nips isn't going to get fat from lack of gym equipment haha.

Twenty housemates would be too many to even attempt to feature on the one show.

They couldn't even do that last year with 16 - either on the show or in the updates. Week 1 was mostly about Jade & Drew's fake marriage, Week 2 they had a whole episode dedicated to Ben being BB's PA. How about actually letting viewers get to know all the housemates instead of focusing on one or two?

Article about the Mandurah Magician, from some really lazy journalists.

http://www.mandurahmail.com.au/stor...-in-to-big-brother-house-photos-video/?cs=288

I won't bother copying the text because it was originally a word-for-word copy of the article @marquisite wrote on the homepage of BBB.

After I called them out as thieves on social media (they they subsequently deleted the comments), they then rewrote the article and attached a photo of one of their newspapers from 2011 as some kind of evidence they didn't copy BBB.

PS. I'm getting worried about the number of leaks now.

With a chunk of the housemates revealed, plus so much of the house already displayed, all they have left to surprise is twists, tasks and format.

And BBAU has never been strong on that front.

Yup, 2DayFM released info about the "Blackout Challenge" Blindfolded for eight hours:

EDIT: listening to the boo, it may not BE a task as such.

Article in today's Herald Sun in Melbourne, which hints at more BBUK Power Trip rip-offs, including money being offered to the HM's:

BROTHER TO BUY TENSION

Big Brother is tipped to return with new twists and turns - including money being offered to housemates during the reality television game.

Confidential understands the hit reality show will introduce cash prizes and a rewards bonanza in a bid to shake up the contestants and fuel conflicts.

The financial bonuses will separate to the cash grand prize awarded to the Big Brother winner at the end of the show.

Big Brother host Sonia Kruger says the Gold Coast house where the show is set is different to that in past series.

Kruger told Confidential: "The house is two-story and there is a tree house. I'm not sure what the tree house for... I can imagine some monkey business going on there."

She added: "It's a bit of a Scarface mansion - think 1980s Miami." Cocaine and machine guns? "No, pink flamingoes and glamour. It's quite a sexy house."

The Big Brother cast is older this season, with an average age of 27.

"There is a bit more life experience in this group," Kruger says. "And it's probably the most opinionated group we've ever had. They're also the most single, which will be interesting, because romance is a big factor in the house."

The housemates are believed to be in lockdown before the show goes live on Channel 9 on Monday.

I'm with you on that one. In an age where reality shows go to extremes such as pre-recording entire finales with different results so that info can't leak and so ratings can remain high, you'd think they'd be even more cautious with BB. But no. I am continually surprised at just how much Nine and BB are happy to give away before the show airs, especially in an attempt to save ratings.

Like, there is virtually nothing major about the show we don't already know now, bar maybe the snap decision and a couple other things. (Although I'm fairly certain we can predict that they'll mostly follow BBUK, again.) For the most part, the majority of the excitement of seeing things for the first time during the Launch and stuff is gone. Plus, by revealing HM's in the way they have been, it has the potential to put general viewers off - and by looking at the Facebook comments, it already has. That will play a role in the amount of people who tune in to the Launch because so many will have already made up their mind on whether they're interested or not, whether it be because they aren't keen on the HM's revealed or because they already know the twist or have seen the house.

Shame, really.

Just quietly.... we've already received the answers back from the Ask Alex thread. They'll be published shortly.

But one point that came out again was Alex defending using overseas ideas, mentioning that they all share ideas and tell each other what works etcetera.

The thing is

95% of twists and tasks in BBAU come from BBUK. This isn't sharing, it's just duplication.

@Tim I'm excited what he has to say. I want to know though what this huge "shakeup" is that's happening the first night in the house. This is more like BB '12 I think (The one where Sonia took photos in the house for a magazine), they leaked a lot before – but also a lot is being leaked now too because the end of this week Big Brother starts.
