I have done it a lot, its hard when its a messy day, and because can't single check, slips mind, happened all the time when was working in ortho, and they needed pre rehab, and I would completely forget until physio showed up, but would always rather forget that, than double dose or it be an insulin order or something, as you said if the NEEDED it you'd know pretty quickly, so in the end no harm done! And sounded like a messy day all round, is your ratio 6 to 1? Holy hell re co-worker, I'd hate to come on after her! That is awesome you have gotten awards, I knew you'd be great at it

and the fact your NUM can be cheeky like that proves they value your work and know it was just a day, not a actual reflection of your work, if it was a fuckup, no way there would be a smile that went with that comment! One thing I love about nursing is the camaraderie among the fraternity, last time I was in Bali, extremely drunk got back to my room, went out to the patio to have my final night cap, my neighbour was doing the same, exchanged a few pleasantries, she was a nurse, we spent the next 6 hours sharing war stories, her husband was bored out of his mind, but we had a GREAT time, others don't get it, and we all have a warped sense of humour, oh and apparently when Im drunk I develop a European accent, which is nice to know
