I always thought Aussie BB was on at the right time. Starting in autumn, and into winter, I find that life can become just about work and home, and to have Big Brother waiting there every day, to fill the empty hours of my pathetic modern life through the long lonely winter is just the right time.

By springtime, though, life starts to re-enter and reawaken and the time is not quite as useful. There is not as much spare indoor time.

My husband says there's a photo on BBAU9 twitter which suggest 14/09.. of course now my damn twitter won't load and I can't check. Any ideas on this?

I saw somebody mention this on the FB page earlier today. It does indeed look like 14:09 (ie 14th September - filming date of launch ? ).

Does anybody know that particular model of clapper and what those positions normally represent?

Of course, it could have been the biggest hint yet and we've all but missed it. :bang:
 
Well it is a Sunday! 6:24 pm is a plausible start time on a Sunday (no ACA, news is only 30 minutes!)

If this is the launch date, wow, how did we miss that one? The dodgy photo (light reflection) was probably intentional.
 
Finally, twitter let's me log in and what my husband saw seems legit. . Also the reply from BBAU9 re the picture seems they are implying this is the date also. If so, I'm glad it is on a Sunday.. that's at least 1 positive step from them

To be honest, it is highly unlikely that's the launch date. I can't imagine anyone thinking to add a "secret clue" like that into the image, and there's no way the date of the first episode would even correlate to a clapper board for the promo of a show in general.

As much as I'd love to say you're onto something, I think we're looking too far into it now - no thanks to Channel 9 for being complete dickheads about Big Brother to begin with, though.
