Oh wow, that's Penny Higgs.Seeing as we're revealing certain people...
I made day one of "Stage 2" of the audition process in Melbourne. One girl that stood out to me was someone I had seen elsewhere. She didn't really seem to do much to hide who she was - she didn't reveal she'd been on another reality TV show but she wore pretty much the same attire as she did in her promo shots for the show.
Seeing as the tall guy is from Melbourne - maybe flowerchild could confirm whether or not this girl made day two?
Some of you already know I have a certain "connection" to Melbourne's dance world, so to speak. I'm surprised she auditioned to be honest, she's been really busy lately with a lot of gigs.
She's recently done a lot of work for Crown Casino, The Footy Show and was on the Logies. Honestly, I don't see her as somebody who'll get in the house though.

Hopefully. But there will still be a lot of the usual stereotypes. I'm almost certain there will be the token pretty girl/s that don't have much to them and are just put in there because they're good looking and single. I really hate that.
Yeah me too. Hms tanning most of their time in big brother is not my ideal choice of a hm, though with the right storyline it can garner fans. But I don't doubt that we will have the typical stereotypes. Though I have to say the hms selected in 2013, some seemed to have a brush with modelling/ promotions type of thing. I wonder if this is part of the selection criteria for most of the hms

Are you referring to the sob story "I'm not very bright all I have are my looks" or the showmance with Ed. I'm not being sarcastic, that's all that springs to mind and I found her incredibly boring.

Embarrassing yourself on tv by throwing yourself at a guy who she built up to be something he wasn't it's not what I call having a 'narrative' or at least not the narrative that genuine BB fans want to watch. Leave that shit for The Bachelor and the like but please keep it out of BB.

i reaaaalllyyyy don't want to start defending jade because she wasn't even my favourite and i can't be bothered, but the point is that she was constantly involved in house events from day 1, whether you found those storylines boring or not is irrelevant. the point is NOT that she is a "good" housemate because of any certain storyline but that she had a storyline at all. i'd rather a housemate do "boring" things than do NOTHING like meatheads and pretty boys always do in the house. jade was a character that could be discussed in either a positive or negative light, as you both are doing ("she was embarassing, she threw herself at ed, she had a sob story"), whereas with e.g. matt you can't make any comments like that because he did not do a single thing in the house. all you can comment on are his looks.

Oh she had a 'narrative' alright, she had a narrative that drove me to almost poking my eyes out. I'll take Matt's 'boring' story over jade's cringefest any day of the week , thank you very much.

Apparently you both are missing the point here. Jade was herself. Full Stop. People here on Behind Big Brother have been crying for years to have REAL people on BBAU!! Now you get a girl who just happens to be very beautiful and has people appeal I admit but she saw a relationship that she desired and went for it. She wasn't faking it (evidenced by the fact that she still tried even after she left the house) she put her heart and soul into trying to make a real relationship with ED. How many young girls and women on the outside do the same every day. They place the guy over their life and Jade did the same.
Now you guys are putting her down because she did EXACTLY what you and all the rest of BBBAU have been looking for!! SHAME ON YOU!!

I not against hms being 'themselves' but I'm bothered in having to watch someone who clearly has their own serious personal issues to sort out doing it on a national tv reality show. That is not the time nor the place people, sheesh. Sure I like having a laugh at people who make fool of themselves on reality shows but her presence ceased being funny by Week 4, I had had enough by that stage.
I would not call her repeated rebuffed attempts at wooing Ed 'entertaining' reality tv rather painful cringe worthy viewing. I felt incredibly uncomfortable (not to mention tedious) and annoyed that this was was shoved in my face at the expense of footage from other hms.
Anyway she was a 1 dimensional hm who had nothing else to offer besides her embarrassing bunny boiler schtick. If you find that interesting that I suggest you buy all the seasons of The Bachelor and knock yourselves out through that outlet, assuming you haven't done so already.
Her so-called fans did Jade a huge disservice by keeping her there, it is quite possible she would never live down the humiliation she subjected herself to on BB.
