I think so many of you have said it already, so there's not much to add here. I'm just going to vent.
An absolutely disgusting result - and so blatantly manipulated to ensure that Danielle was the one evicted. I've already expressed my disgust at the removal of the public vote in a previous post, so I will focus my attention on the blatant manipulation to ensure Kimberly and Steven remained and Danielle was evicted. She was without a shadow of a doubt one of my favourite housemates, and I know that I am not alone. Definitely one of the most entertaining housemates this season. Her whole persona, whether fabricated to stir up attention that she could later exploit for her modelling career or whether Danielle truly is this enigmatic , self-deluded hypocrite was something I could overlook. I honestly didn't care - she unintentionally became the most hilarious housemate in that house. I really enjoyed watching her - especially her rants. There's something about hearing a scottish girl going on wild, ridiculous rants that I just loved.
Marlon and Danielle's evictions were both disgusting. The results were obviously manipulated in both cases, but I can't help being more outraged by Danielle's, as she was the better housemate. Her fans were not even given a chance at voting to save her from eviction. Danielle hit it on the head 100% in her eviction interview when she spoke about how she would have preferred to have been evicted by a public vote. It doesn't matter if the result had been the same, at least it would have been fair and her fans would have seen her leave with the knowledge that they did all they could to keep her safe. Honestly, after the character assassination Danielle was subjected to this week, she would have probably been up there with Steven in a vote to evict anyway - but she wasn't even given a chance. At least when good housemates like Matthew and Jale were evicted, it was done fairly (though I'd argue the nominations twists that have been a constant presence since week 2 unfairly influenced the outcomes of those evictions too). As Danielle would say "There's no justice in this house!"
Even if you accept the dubious decision to perform two evictions without a public vote, the circumstances surrounding this eviction are just too fishy to be overlooked. Kim's disappearance and immunity after it was revealed she was the top choice to evict (and why is it not possible to just evict her while she's out of the house? Just say the words and she won't be allowed back in! Interview her later if you must and fill up time with a longer Biannca interview - postpone the fucking eviction until Kimberly is in the house if you have to! This eviction was so fucking unfair on so many different levels!), Dexter replacing Jale on BBBOTS at the eleventh hour, the overlooking of BB rules regarding outside information as Biannca gave her targeted character assassination this week, everything that Biannca revealed tonight on BOTS... hell, even Emma was wearing tartan tonight! Despite what you might feel towards Danielle or Marlon, what happened to them this week is absolutely infuriating. I'm so fucking mad! I don't know if I can make it any clearer how fucking mad this makes me!
Worst twist in Big Brother history? I certainly think so, and this show has had some awful twists - I have never seen such blatant manipulation in a series of Big Brother in my life. Manipulating the outcome of an eviction has become a weekly occurrence for the show, but what they've done this week truly takes the cake. How the fuck can they still keep the "Who goes? You decide!" slogan after this farce and not feel any shame?
I'm just so infuriated and disappointed. This series started off so well too, but of course they had to go and fuck it up as much as they could. Why do they have such a problem with letting things take a natural course? They're alienating viewers, not drawing them in.
There's no point in even calling this Big Brother anymore, because they've made it near impossible for housemates to play the game anymore. If you are manipulating evictions, revealing housemate secrets, airing private diary room chats to the housemates, constantly revealing nominations, just to stir up some cheap drama, then you completely shit all over one of the most essential components of the show.
Apologies... that was a longer rant than I intended... if you choose to read it, I recommend doing so with a scottish accent, that's always amusing.
