And - what is your scariest DW?

Mine - is David & Donna series; and that episode where the Doctor goes solo on a little tourist trip and Donna stays at a resort.

On the spaceship, that talking thing that takes people over and repeats or actually says what they are saying exactly the same/same time like a mirror.
And they want to throw the doctor out into space. It's a freaky thriller, and the acting is sublime.

...my scariest episode and possibly my favourite is 'Blink'... the first weeping angels episode... the first time that they were introduced blew me away!... I love that episode too kxk... it was awesome how they managed to talk in unison so perfectly... and when they all turned on The Doctor while he was paralysed and they were going to throw him out of the cfalso the episode where they were in Enlland while Queen Elisabeth was being crowned and the TV was taking peoples faces from them... yet another great episode...

...nutmeg I so agree with the Doctor/Donna search scene with all of that mime... pure brilliance in TV!... that 'parking the Tardis' clip I put on the previous page never fails to make me laugh too lol!... cheers.

Ooh, those two episodes are both excellent on the scary scale. Does anyone else try to see how long they can go without blinking while watching the weeping angels? I try to shut one eye, open it, then shut the other eye, open it, and repeat. But my eyes quickly get sore and I stuff it up. I'd be a goner for sure.

My scariest are 'they're not every shadow, but any shadow'. Yep, the Vashta Nerada. Count the shadows. Creepy.

Plus cybermen upgrading humans. When those blades start spinning I get chills.

Aww I just watched Clara souffle girl, that was sad scary, so lonely...

But oh @nutmeg you beat me to it, I came back to mention spooky shadows, with the best ever spooky name.
Doctor Who is fabulous at bending childhood fears into huge freaky monsters.

...great news about the start date... looking at all of those sparks behind the Doctor in the Tardis I'm hoping that we get a new interior for the Tardis... I so hate this one... here's hoping!... I would so like to see a massive 'Steampunk' kind of interior... has anyone got any thoughts on what kind of interior that you would like to see?... cheers.

ABC Australia have confirmed the series will début downunder on Sunday 24th August.
Let the countdown begin!

ABC have their shit together - now.
Doctor Who was once THE MOST PIRATED DOWNLOAD.
Before Game of Thrones took the mantle, and before ABC did get their shit together, ie when we used to have a 3 months wait for the series - everyone downloaded, BECAUSE THEY HAD TO.

Now the ABC have ensured we can watch legally we are happy to behave properly. Foxtel are idiots.

And @stickyfingers, yes please, Moffatt has given us shitty interiors. David Tennant's was the best, get that designer back

The current Tardis look doesn't do much for me either, but I also think it's too soon to change it. We've only actually had it for a handful of episodes, not even a full season. I think it needs to last for another year or two before they change it again.

Also I don't think they'd be doing publicity photos like the above on the current set if they were gonna just change it :)

...it's looking good tickytoc... I came across this little snippet too... we can only guess what this one is all about eh?...

Hopefully it’s bigger on the inside: Peter and Jenna film with a mini Tardis (Picture: Wales News)
Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman have been snapped on set filming with a miniature Tardis.

Shooting in Barry Island, South Wales, the Doctor and his companion were almost bent double to move in and out of the mini Tardis.

Express reports that the pair were shooting with a normal sized blue box before switching to the tiny one.

The stars were laughing and joking together between takes, and nattering away together once filming had wrapped for the day.

Jenna then took time to chat to fans and sign autographs.

Series 8 of Doctor Who is scheduled to air this August, with Capaldi taking on the Time Lord role. Coleman is playing his assistant Clara.

A series of guest stars have already been announced, including Keeley Hawes, Frank Skinner and singer Foxes.

Peter, Jenna and executive producer Steven Moffatt will embark on a world tour to promote the new series.

...perhaps as you say Will... maybe it is a bit soon to change the interior of the Tardis... but I just can't imagine it staying the way it is for a year or two... most new Doctors tend to have their interiors changed to suit their new persona eventually don't they?...

...I agree with nutmeg that the interior needs to be lighter inside too... when the Doctor is running around in his Tardis I like to see all of the little nooks and crannies that are in the background... hopefully within the near future this may happen... well I hope so anyway lol!... cheers.

...it's great that the ABC has taken this line... we all benefit from it at last... you're right about Moffatt's taste... especially when it's the same man that introduced us to these abominations... cheers.

Kelly Clarkson, 1st winner of USA Idol - gave birth to her first child recently.
A daughter she named - River Rose...Doctor fan???

...wasn't that the 'Supreme DalekO_O?... I don't think that it was Davros was it:conf:?... there's some hope for me in that clip... with all of those mini explosions on the console of the Tardis I'm hoping that it is a precursor to the whole Tardis being rebuilt... I can hope can't I?;):)... cheers.

Are you watching the repeats on ABC at the moment?
Aww, Matt is so lovely, 2nd and 3rd times, he just gets lovelier and lovelier the more you watch him. And thankfully it's Clara time and piss off River.

It was the Snowman christmas special last night if you want to catch it

Popular consensus is Davros

Popular consensus is Davros

...oh okay... thanks for clearing that up for me:thumbsup:... it would be good to see Davros win a battle with the Doctor at least once... what I mean by that is that he damages the Tardis enough for it having to be regenerated because of it:)... yeah I know... I'm talking through my arse with wishful thinking aren't I?:frown::facepalm:... cheers.

The BBC has appealed to fans not to spoil the new series of Doctor Who, after a number of scripts from upcoming shows were leaked onto the internet.

The first five scripts for Series Eight, including the series opener Deep Breath, are understood to have been compromised after being sent to the BBC Worldwide office in Miami, where they were due to be translated for the Latin America market. The BBC is trying to achieve a near simultaneous global release of the series, including broadcasts on BBC Entertainment, throughout the region.

BBC Worldwide told Radio Times they were pleading with the public and fans sites not to share the material released
We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty.
The scripts appear to have been uploaded from the BBC Worldwide site in Miami, which was left open to public indexing, meaning scripts from Doctor Who, as well as scripts from other popular BBC programmes such as Top Gear and Call the Midwife, were accessible to anyone with an internet link. It is understood video files were also stored on the server, but it is not known if these contained content relevant to Doctor Who. The server has now been taken offline.

The series has been leaked before. In 2005 the first episode of the relaunched series, Rose, leaked onto the internet, a few weeks before its launch on BBC One, and in 2013 the series finale, The Name of the Doctor, was released early due to a mistake in the American distribution of the Series 7 Blu-rays and DVDs. In 1983 the Target novelisation of the twentieth anniversary story, The Five Doctors, was published two weeks before the story was transmitted by the BBC.

The series is due to premiere around the world from August 23rd.
