What happened with the fireworks?

Not the huge fireworks that get fired up in the air.. but those ones they use on stage shows that let off a big flare.. they had a set that were hanging down over the stage and mid way through recoding the launch one was let off by accident or just wasn't meant to go off, but it caused a small fire to start in the auditorium roof, so they had to stop recording of course by that stage.

Sort of but not quite Robbie, it was a firework fountain set on rigging in the stage roof that went off at the end of the opening dance with Sonia and dancers, the fountain casings caught fire. It was then put out but the used a dry powder extinguisher which ment a 10 to 15 minute break while the stage floor was cleaned ( Howard Parker and the lighting guru swept it up, no wonder HP quit. Lol.)

Thanks, yeah that's right. As you can tell, I wasn't there when it happened, I was just trying my best to go off of memory of what I had read about it back then. And yes
I couldn't think of the correct wording for that particular firework, but yeah it's a fountain
So we have a Block advert... But still only "coming soon"

Well actually in the English world of BB BBUK are the only ones that do a live launch... I must say though that the thing that bugs me the most about BBAU is not that the launch isn't live it's that they go out of their way to keep everything a secret until the show airs... Over here we get pretty much everything leading in to the launch... We know details about the twist, we get introduced to the HG's, and we get to see the house and I mean with the way the show airs over here it's been proven time and time again that spoilers do little harm to the shows ratings... And when it comes to the HG's it's really hard to know what someone is going to be like until the show launches so it's not a huge deal if we know them ahead of time...

I guess it's way easy for BBUK to have a live launch, as it's filmed right outside the compound.
I have very recently taken a liking to BBUK.

I have to only half agree with that.. only thing that is missing from our current format that would truly allow us to see how the housemates really interact is of course.... live streaming, unedited coverage that can be viewed 24/7.

Agreed, but I have to say I'd probably be content with a longer, better-edited recap show if live-streaming was completely out of the question.
If I were in charge of what we were shown, I'd have a 1 hour family-friendly highlight show that was built with real interaction throughout the day at 7pm, and then at 9:30/10pm another hour-long highlight show of the same day - this time with discussions of more "mature" topics (ie - sexuality, but also politics, religion, and whatever other deep conversations the HMs come up with that aren't really suitable for/understood by the younger audience) where we get a better idea of what the HMs stand for and what makes them tick.

Unfortunately BB in Australia isn't really about the Social Experiment anymore, it's purely entertainment. The audience really getting to know the HMs isn't on 9's important list, they'll show their family friendly daily show and thats it. (apart from the set up late night conversations)
I do hope I'm wrong of course, but not holding my breath.

It's not just BB Australia...
So when does the Voice end?
Well the finals start Sunday, and normally go for 3 weeks (23 June-7 July), then there is the semi-final (14 July) and then I'd assume the Grand Final would be on 21 July.
It's possible IF they are going to run the Block and BB together but I still doubt it.
Even the fact that we have a 'coming soon' block advert but no sign of BB advert yet keeps me in doubt. Even if it does start in August it will probably have to run concurrently with The Block anyway.
Who knows. I'm not even sure 9 know lol.
