It will start when Alex decides to start it and not one day sooner!!

(I just hope it is soon so we still have BBAU fans alive and haven't committed suicide from frustration!)

Good thing this is not the movie Scanners or all of our heads would have exploded long ago...

More like when Nine decides to start it - I imagine Alex has very little say on when it starts.

Goon doesnt know. I swear some of you people are bizzare. The guy could say we are doing a joint series with the UK and have an undergrround tunnel joining the houses and you'd still believe him.
Not saying he is a liar, im saying some here are just sheep

a BB aquarium? bahaaaa

i'm a Gooniever and proud of it

With what Goon has been saying perhaps Big Brother will launch on a Sunday this year? Maybe Big Brother Evictions will return to Sunday nights seeing that The Voice: Kids is premiering next week and I think will only have a short run compared to the adult version.

I think the launch might be late as September but it may start in the middle of August? It depends if The Block will run concurrently with BB or not. It may be a possibility? or maybe they will overlap during The Block's final weeks.

Weekly schedule this year (maybe?):

Sunday
6.30 Big Brother Live Eviction (includes daily show)
8.00 60 Minutes

Monday
7.30 Big Brother Live Nominations
9.00

Tuesday
7.30 Big Brother
9.00 The Big Bang Theory / Mom / 2 Broke Girls etc.
10.00 Big Brother: Late Night 1 hour show. (Not confirmed if we will have a adult content show this year... just wishful thinking and hopefully if there is one it will run more than 5 weeks - should be a weekly show for most of the series bar week 1 and the final week.)

Wednesday
7.30 Big Brother (may or may not include Big Brother confidential)
9.00

Thursday
7.30 Big Brother (includes Showdown challenges)
8.30 The Footy Show

Friday
Kind of TBA. We don't know if we will get a Friday show this year due to the 7.30pm timeslot start and NRL commitments. Solution = maybe a 30 min daily show on the main channel at 7.30pm for the states that don't follow NRL and the ones that do have a slot on GO at the same time.

Saturday
Probably no show.

Well I just saw an ad saying voice kids begins at 6:30, I wonder if the voice kids and bb will overlap in the future

Pretty sure the kids version (and the adults version) will both be finished before BB starts.

The later it gets without any announcements actually makes me hopeful (trying not to get too excited) that BB and The Block will run concurrently, making BB an 8:30 or even later show and potentially dropping the 'family friendly' theme?!?

Could it be. Anything could happen ... It's channel 9 after all.

I hope we finally go for a "Live" launch,
Other BBs around the world have a live launch.

Why don't we?
If they can edit a eviction live
Why not a launch.

Roughy how far is the golf buggy ride to the house from the stage?
Or even host the launch outside the house again

If it wasn't for a pre-recorded launch with edits.. 2012 would have seen a roof fire happen after the rooftop foreworks went wrong..
In 08.. king kyle had to do 50 takes for his lines as he kept stuffing up his auto cue lines. Etc etc

Well they shouldn't of hired Kyle, lol

And the roof fire, all part of the fun
:p

But I see your point

Well it has been done before - 2003 was actually live! That was part of the reason for the outdoor set closer to the house, no doubt.

Really?
I just assumed it was pre recorded like the rest.
How cool, but thinking back.
Some of the waiting with the cars to drive off scream live.

Not without it's slight hiccups... It poured down rain for most of that live launch and between the staff and audience having to fumble about with umbrellas and rain coats while braving the rain out in the open stages

I just saw the block glass house "soon on nine" ad for the first time.
.. come on guys, big brother has to be the only one left, yet to be announced
