2014 Today I ......

...I've never been to the 'Outback Rib House' before but I'm told that they're pretty good... here's hoping I'm not being given a bum steer though... I guess that I'll know by the end of tomorrow night eh?... here's the menu...

http://www.clarendontavern.com/Outback menu.html

...so many choices!... man that CROCODILE FILLET DUNDEE sure looks good...

'Crocodile tail fillet, marinated in a lemon lime chermoula style marinade, baked & finished with julienne of vegetables, shallot and semi dried tomato salsa'...

...but then there's... RIB CHOICE- PORK - BEEF - LAMB ... where one of the options is...

( have 1 of each or 2 & 1 or 3 of the same type of rib )

...I'm guessing that the crocodile fillet is best option to avoid a heart attack though eh?... as I said... so many choice!... cheers.

...well... my sweet wife and I went to the 'Outback Rib House' for our 25th wedding anniversary and all I can say is... WOW!... absolutely brilliant food!... my wife had 'Veal Marsala' and I had the 'Rib Trio' which is pork/lamb and beef ribs... (I'll have the crocodile next time to see how they cook that methinks lol!)... oh my god... the size of the meals are phenomenal... all cooked to absolute perfection...we had a bruschetta entree between us... our two main meals... an Ice Cream Sundae for desert... my wife had a 'lemon lime and bitters and I had two imported beers... all for $110... well worth it in my books... I'm so happy that my beautiful wife chose this place to go... now all I have to do is to veg out and let all of that food settle down... what a night!... cheers.

...hahaha! Jam... I just read that article that you posted... there's a lot of differences in the headlines eh?... what the posters wrote is spot on lol!... those tabloids have a lot to answer for methinks... cheers.

You have totally sold me on this place Mr Sticky, I have had a pretty big dinner but I'm salivating at the thought of a rib trio. It sounds like good value!

...I do highly recommend it jessy_girl... if you have one of those in your area make sure that you try it out... you won't regret it... (I'm going to try the crocodile tail next time...it sounds yummy)...

...I meant to say before... we couldn't eat all of our main meals but they pack it into take-away containers upon request... hmmmm... ribs for lunch tomorrow... (double yum!)... cheers.

Unfortunately there isn't one close to me :( I really should've checked this before I got my heart set on it, but I guess where there's a will there's a way, it's not TOO far away. Have you had croc before? I had a crocodile burger once and it was really tasty, I don't normally like white meat that much but the texture is very... meaty. Yum.

...I 'think' that I may have had crocodile... I was told that it was crocodile but I think that it was a joke at my expense lol!... hence the reason that I want to try it... if it tastes the same then I'll know that it was genuine the first time I guess... lol!... I came soooooooo close to trying it tonight but my love for ribs won out... yum.... ribs... cheers.

Hey Sticky!

So nice to see you back! And Happy Shagiversary for the other day!

Today I realised I only have three days left of my four week holiday to enjoy! Devo! :(

We took my son and his girlfriend to the Gold Coast for the weekend last weekend, and had a ball. It is the first time I have ever been out clubbing with my son and at the time I had the best time ever, the next day I nearly died from margarita poisoning, but at the time it was great. We also went to the casino and came out evens which was a relief, I won what my partner lost and my son won what his girlfriend lost (I make it sound bigger than it is, we all agreed on a maximum of $50 to bet, and my son and I came out with $100 each and our other halves came out with nothing). At one point, I was watching the poker table and I saw a guy lose $900 in 15 minutes!! I couldn't believe it!!

I got on the scales this morning and I have officially gained 3kgs in the last four weeks, and given that we are out for dinner tonight, have lunch plans tomorrow and Sunday is Mothers Day I think it is only fair I start my diet Monday, along with my first day back at work. How doubley depressing, back to work and Day 1 of my diet.

Hey I do have a quick funny, I was out taking a stroll with my partner and my dog at the beach yesterday, when I notice the woman walking in front of us has the best arse ever!

Me: Oh my God, I wish I had a bum like that...
Kai (my partner): You and me both babe, you and me both...

Let's just say, my partner won't be smacking my donkadonk for some time to come!

Ha!

...hey Trala... good to see you again... wow!... your holidays sounds awesome...coming out even is a jackpot in itself in Casinos...and oh dear!... Kai is on a death wish there methinks... and I bet he knew it 0:7 seconds after he said it too lol!... cheers.

"Today I ..." was pleased to be told the following bit of info re: The Budget.

nochange.jpg

Yes, it was Very Pleasing to discover that not only was it to be business as usual in the derspatz und lscp family but also that we were not part of the problem re: "the age of entitlement".

It was especially pleasing to learn that we obviously had been paying our fair share and that we wouldn't be called upon to contribute anything more.

"Today I ..." saved LSCP $200 by doing some online shopping for car insurance rather than lazily paying her (now ex) insurer without question.

Ex-insurer asked for about $350. New insurer was able to offer better for just under $150.

Cheers "The Checkout" ! ;)

"Today I ...", while still in the glow of last week being deemed star employee of the month (got a nice shiny certificate and shiny cash gift card), celebrated making it through my first year of employment in local government. A pay tier increase and my first annual bonus soon to follow. W00T !

Cheers Mr Hockey for providing the icing to the cake of good news ! :)

Hmmmm, icing ? cake ?

Now that would be a good idea for that shiny gift card. I think I'll use it to put on some sort of morning tea for the local guvvy team I'm fitting in so well with.

How to have that cake and eat it too, yes ? :p :)

"today i ..." would like to once again say what an awesome bit of Oz drama the "The Gods of Wheat Street" is.

The first 5 episodes are available on iView and I presume episode 6 will be out next week.

Deem "do yourselves a favour" and all that, included.

Also on iView is an amusing little 3min episode at a time series called "Lessons from the Grave" by Matilda Brown that also stars her and (presumably her dad), Brian Brown.

I haven't seen so much watchable Oz TV in the same place since before last seasons BigBro. :)

Today I am going to make some pajama pants. I've never in my life made any clothing before, but I really want to learn. I figure that PJ pants would be the pretty easy and if I fuck them up somehow I still might be able to use them. Well Wish me luck! Hopefully I'll be coming back to this thread tonight a posting that my pants were a success.

LOL! This takes me back to high school, in sewing I made a pair of boxer shorts and then tie-dyed them. Haha.

Good luck!

Good luck with them! I would love to be able to sew but I don't have the patience. I'd love to see you jimmy-jam pants! Please post a pic of them. :)

OK so I just finished them, it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, also it was kind of fun! I did a lot of practice on some of the off cuts because I only had enough material for one pair of pants and because this material was on hand already I didn't want to waste it and have to go and buy some.
Now my next project will be to make a full pair of Pjs (top & bottom).

Here you go @Jam :)

@bleachy_dude HAHA at high school I had to option of doing textiles or woodwork and I chose woodwork, kind of wish I had chose textiles instead because this was pretty easy to make and a lot of fun.;)
