I do have to wonder whether they want things to be hidden from the public and if so why? Don't want to set off any alarm bells, panic people? I don't believe the plane just vanished and there was no communication at all when it happened. Yep, my head is thinking of every scenario

didn't anyone get a call/ tweet from a passenger? someone always does. what altitude were they at?

I hadn't heard that..if it was sudden explosion, passengers wouldn't have time to use their phones or pilots send maydays?
I did read on twitter than some passengers phones were ringing or something, when family tried to contact them...(not sure if true though)
I'm not sure if phones work on international flights but I think in the USA that phones can be used on domestic flights?

from the information being put out here it sounds like the plane was hijacked, then changed course, but where it went after that is still a mystery

there is always communication. i am going with it being held, only because it is a better outcome, possibly

if that ends up being true, hopefully that means the passengers still have a good chance to be alive and rescued, rather than at the bottom of an ocean somewhere?

Big Brother Australia – Tully Smyth And Tahlia Are Back Together!
by Reality Raver

In the “I did not see this coming” files it looks like Tully Smyth and Tahlia are back together. The pair have been busy uploading photos of each other to Instagram......

Yes, that's all the story was based on - the Instagram pics.

I guess that's a reply to the tweets about why Drew and his sister unfollowed her. Not like there was ever going to be a forthcoming answer.

Martine wants to know why life is so complicated.

Did you watch "Lost"????

Family of some of the Chinese are saying they called their mobiles and the phones were ringing - apparently if the phones were underwater, they wouldn't ring.

There is also speculation about the governing bodies in Malaysia - the same party is always in power, and it seems divisions between them and other countries in the region are deeper than was expected

Some satellite company moved their satellite so the anyone on the internet can search the oceans in the search zone, apparently over a million people have helped look/are still looking. They have found a bunch of sunken fishing boats and some small planes but no luck on the big plane.

imagine the preparation involved if this is true. i would have thought they could pick up a signal somewhere, so that would had to be deactivated. i still feel there should be a loose thread somewhere, it's weird, but still maybe early days

will this help with anything? 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42

i suppose it depends how fast the plane filled with water, there could have been air pockets, the phones could still ring. if there was an explosion it would make objects more likely to come to the surface, you would think. people investigate this for a living, why aren't they saying anything yet?

I read that their were missed calls by family members on the plane. Not sure how true that is, although I still consider that something at this point. The new lot of information is that they are saying that there was activity in the ocean around the time the plane vanished. Surely this would have been identified sooner if that were the case.

if it was hijacked, you have to ask, why that plane, who was on it, or what would they gain? what would India want with it if it landed there?

That's right! There would be some evidence if the plane went into the water.

"Investigators have not ruled out any possible cause for the plane's disappearance.Experts say one possibility that could explain why the transponders were not working is that the pilot, or a passenger, likely one with some technical knowledge, switched off the transponders in the hope of flying undetected.Experts say that if the plane crashed into the ocean, some debris should be floating even if most of the jet is submerged. Past experience shows that finding the wreckage can take weeks or even longer, especially if the location of the plane is in doubt"
