IE A recent New York Film Academy infographic reported a 5:1 disparity in men working in film compared to women, while a Lee & Low Books chart spotlighted the paltry 23 per cent of the Academy that’s female.

Of course, that is why they get it so wrong - like Gwyneth winning over Cate, huge boo boo, kind of obvious now looking at their careers.
And why a lot of pretty young things are given the best supporting actress.

Was thinking the other day, who is the female Rolling Stone?
IE began in the 60s, still kicking in their 70s?Still kind of rock & roll? Cher is all I could come up with.

Although she is hardly rock & roll, musically, she never did anything good after stuff with Sonny and turned into Vegas showgirl/actor.
She survives, and she has a rock & roll attitude.

We had Tina, but she retired.

Mostly females didn't get to be rock & roll and tough and stuff until later, 60s girls are kind of lame - oh that's another one sort of, Marrianne Faithfull.

To add, Vanity Fair have lots of Oscar goodies, including photos of all of those gorgeous women winners - far to arduous to paste individually unfortunately, go check it out.
Audrey is the first credited to a real haute couture designer - of course, she remains at a level nobody else has even come close to in elegance.

Neither cut it - neither began in the 50s/60s.

Chrissie Hynde is awesome, and is probably the closest thing, but she is still a later vintage.

And you can't be serious re Suzi.
Suzi is on Happy Days and that is where she belongs she sucks, and I believe she is a child of the 70s. She is as rock and roll as karaoke.

I thought of Patti Smith, don't think she goes back far enough either, and Debbie Harry is 70s.

That is the Baldwin kid in foul blood clot maroon far left, my fave is the chic in real red - she is a good laugh, all are dressed for business with a touch of glam. Except stupid on the far right, wifey of a RTV star, her name allways reminds me of rancid/rot but I fail to recall the actual name.
Kelly looks good.
Can't wait for Cate's gown - I like the funny indie dress, suits the event, nice belt. She will surely be big glam gown tonight?
