In Drew's defence re the going back to uni thing, he simply just might not want to start the mundane 9-5 "real life" job yet. And it's not like he can just finish his degree and then not opt to use it yet in the work force. In most professions nobody is going to hire a new grad with no experience that's been out of uni for a few years. It's just assumed that by that stage most of the skills they learnt would have been forgotten and if they're going for a new grad then they'll go for someone recently graduated because they'll expect that the information and skills are still fresh so they can come in and hit the ground running. I'm sure Drew is smart enough to know that the moment he finishes that degree he has to start his real life, 9-5 job.
He's young, impulsive and said himself that he likes the drama and wants to have fun. He'll never be freer than he is now, so if he wants to just have fun and live everyday as it comes, if he wants to experience new things like trying his hand at modelling and acting then now is his time to do it. His degree will still be there for him to finish and get a 9-5 job from when he's ready. He's probably just not ready to start that chapter of his life yet and that's totally understandable. I know the mothers in us are all thinking "he needs to go back to uni", but at the same time if he starts working in his field before he's ready and squanders this time that most likely wont come along again then he's probably going to be filled with regret and be miserable later in life. He's got his whole life to be a "grown up" and work full time, let him enjoy the experience for as long as he financially can IMO.
