I was at a party once and a girl had a live feed on her phone of her cats, had a cat-cam set up while she was out. The party was at least an hour from her home so not really sure what she planned to do if there was a feline emergency. This girl is now pregnant, we are taking bets that she'll never leave the baby with others. You're right - the dog would get used to it given a chance.
