Hmmmm.... Come on now! If she is claiming to be a 'professional writer' and hoping to be paid to write, then she should be able to critique, edit and proofread the crap out of anything she produces....well AT LEAST pick up on simple punctuation errors. I have read some of her other Tumblr stuff and the quality is of a much higher standard.

I was actually wondering why she did a detailed restaurant rave in the middle of a hotel review...?

Haha...I bought one of these jewellery organisers online last year! Mine swivels at the bottom and it's THE BEST DAMN THING EVER!!! I've since seen them at Copperart or Crazy Clarks.

I sometimes get paid to edit the work of good writers, so my quibble is that one way or the other, she didn't edit carefully. Some of the best writers I know can't spell to save themselves. The smart thing is not to think you'll always get it right. But I agree that the quality of her writing is better on her Tumblr. I think tough that people here who have said she didn't seem that engaged with the task may be right. The hotel may well be reminded that you rarely get something for nothing.

Oh stop it. I am the worst offender with my misuse and gross overuse of ellipsis... ... ... ... ... ... ... The difference is... this is an informal forum.

All this writing here finally inspired me to start a book blog last week. Needless to say i've been editing obsessively and i haven't yet given anyone its address. I may be the only audience!

Ellipsis can often serve a similar function in good-quality pornography.

A film like Sirens is intensely erotic;- because most of the naughty stuff is what the viewer imagines.

A film like Debbie Does Dallas is simply tiresome;- because everything is spelled out, and the viewer just watches helplessly.
