That's how I feel about it as well. It's her job and she shows passion towards it, and her other writing pieces were wonderful to read, this doesn't fit with the rest really. Like you, I'm not insulting her but knowing she does write well, I just expected better I think. But I do think there was a lack of depth in it too and I don't believe she wrote that article with the heart she normally shows in her pieces.

I don't think the hotel lived up to her expectations in all honesty. She mentioned it wasn't a romantic vibe and since we know drew was with her, it probably lacked the warmth and intimacy she may have preferred in a hotel with him there. It doesn't really bother me that she didn't refer to we. I figured that's what the job entails for some reason. No formality of personalising the experience, all business setting feel.

She needed to 'phone a friend'. Most of us can't edit our own work successfully. We see what we think is there, and 'per say' for instance wouldn't have rung any alarm bells with her, nor would Spellcheck have picked it up.

Tahlia has the hound so she must be lonely. But she gets the pup for a whole week while Tahlia has an op so there should be a lot of photo opportunities. Yay.


Edit: all is well, the Luna has landed, maybe that's why she stayed in tonight.

I gather they are friends of Drew's from Melbourne. Some of the names are familiar. Hence the comment mini Melbourne. Bit strange that Tully is not out with them though.

And looking at that picture of the hotel with her in the bathrobe (she seems to have deleted it from IG) it had a very uncozy, non-romantic feel to it...more like a hotel for a large group of friends than an intimate setting...but that's JMO

She was searching, it was too obvious. I actually don't want to experience the hipster hotel scene. It sounded too big of a surrounding and empty. Even if used for a group of friends, it feels tryhardish for some reason

Emergency pick up again? - I swear it is only two days since she had Luna. This may explain why she is not out. I know that this may sound cynical, but I swear sometimes that Tahlia makes the dog custody arrangements as inconvenient as possible.

Tahlia is having a knee operation tomorrow, Tully has the dog for a week.
