Swap cowboys and indians with bushrangers and 'abos'. Ignorance is no excuse for perpetuating something that clearly has a racist foundation and connotations. We all know that cowboys are supposed to be the 'good' guys and the 'indians' the baddies.

Hmmm... my feelings on the subject are quite the opposite. Replace the mascot of that team with the N-word, F-word(gay slur) and I don't think it would be dismissed out of hand that easily. My take on it the 'political correctness' (don't mean to be derogatory but for want of a better term) approach to a valid complaint such as this one is that action largely depends on the power of the minority/ethnicity in question. And it seems that blacks (probably due to the guilt of slavery and their larger numbers) and gays (roughly between 5 to 10 percent of the population and found among all ethnicities) have significantly more influence and power than Native Americans and why it appears that their concerns don't register that highly among the general public (read: white majority) in the States.

And in regards to calling USA citizens Americans, I personally hesitate to do so for the same reasons I don't think it's a good idea to start referring to French citizens as Europeans when that is an adjective used to describe people that live in a particular continent not a nationality. As far as I know the vast majority of the people that live in the so-called 'Americas' that is most people in Latin America consider America to be an entire continent made up of a South and North part not distinct continents and by default also consider themselves to be 'American'. :cool:

I'm aware that the economical, military and cultural might of the good ol' US of A has led to the rest of the world referring to them specifically as 'Americans' but I don't share the belief that that alone makes it right.

lol good on you sparrow, i love that he is so interactive with people that love him. He's just a crazy dude loving life, loving the adoration and attention and having a laugh. He's surprisingly deep but doesn't take himself too seriously. Stoked that he is chatting with you because i know you are a smitten kitten :D

I don't think it matters what he looks like next to Tahan - Tim has great presenting skills, he is going to outshine Tahan anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the final cut is just Tim talking with occasional Tahan images
 
From what we know of Tim, he love the environment, animals and conservation...Oh and fucking dolphins. Orcas aka killer whales are dolphins. I have no idea what sea animals that the seaworld on the GC has, but are they all not owned by the same company?
So Tim is on the GC to do the Getaway thing, I'm assuming the Channel Nine has paid/chosen for the accommodation. I really though Tim would demand another place to stay, after all he was tweeting about how much he loved the "blackish" documentary. In this Getaway thing will he be visiting Seaworld?

Thanks Jo-bot, I am most definitely a smitten kitten. And Tim Dormer, winner of BBAU 2013 gave me a selfie. #happycamperhere I'll stop bragging now and take my happy self to bed. Got to be up at 5:45am for work, and its 1:54am now;) Oh well. #Timrocks #worksucks

in a perfect world i agree. I don't think sea world have Orca though. Some sea lions and dolphins yes, even sharks i think. I don't think that we should expect tim to take on every one of natures problems though. He loves wildlife and he will learn and with time will know what battles he wants to take on. I love animals but eat meat. I hate cruelty but apart from buying free range eggs don't do much else. Let him do his thing and find his way, i'm sure he will find his passion and fight for it.
