Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

You know what - to be honest, now that it's pretty much obvious that Ed & Jade aren't together any more, it's becoming obvious that my only problem with him was the way his actions or lack of them caused Jade to be perceived.
I believe that she can see clearly now that the Ed she knew in the house (and perhaps the Ed as he is when he is alone with her) is not the Ed in his own environment / with his brother / with his friends / with his social activities -and therefore this isn't the Ed she wants to be with.
Now I'm pretty much left with indifference as to who he likes or what he does at all. Maybe I'll even start to like him once I know Jade has moved on.
That's why I don't really understand those hating on him on instagram as if in defence of Jade because if they're over what's the point?

I guess my only fear is that she'll go back. I hope not. She seems happy lately!

The instagram concerns me as 2 of Ed's defenders (on eon one of his photos and the other on a photo belonging to one of those posting on Ed's ) have suggested that the haters are actually Jade or one of her friends.

Jade seem happy and focussed now - I think she s going to be fine

I agree. Maybe the invitation was extended to a few housemates and she'll go with a group. Honestly, I will be more surprised to not see her there with Ed. I still believe they are very much friends and could see her being there with his group.

I think she'll be with him and his friends too. He went last year so it's not surprising he had plans to go this year as it's a pretty big thing to do in Melbourne especially if you're into sports.

I think this time she's spending with Tim will set her head straight just in case there's any lingering doubts (which I don't think there are). The timing of it is probably the best thing that could've happened with the tennis coming up and Dan heading off to London for awhile. At least she'll have Tim's advice to remember - which I'm sure he's been pounding into her head and probably pretty bluntly lol - if she starts to have second thoughts. Two people who are totally unsuited for each other but that doesn't mean they can't still make good friends. :)

I'm not so sure about Tim. From what I can see, Ed is not particularly close with anyone out of the house. Perhaps he catches up with Matt, but even the Boog thing seems fleeting. Yeah, I expect we'll see pics of them at future Melbourne things, but not much more than that. All that to say, if Ed is not spilling his guts to anyone, I don't see how Jade would take Tim's advice on him. I just don't. What new things could he be saying? But, that is how I process things. I'm not going to put too much stock in advice from someone who's never cared for my friend. I also don't think Jade is going to spill her guts to Tim. I think she confides in 4 people, and he is not one of them.

Whatever conclusion she comes to or has come to, I'm banking it's through her own eyes. If she hasn't gotten there yet, she will.

I am completely leaning towards them deciding the timing is not right, but they have a bond and want to remain friends. It doesn't mean either is a horrible person, as you've said, just not suited for each other.

I think she's much closer to Tim than what we see. It's a pretty big thing for them to take a trip to Byron together tomorrow. If they were just acquaintances from BB as many of the HMs seem to be with Ed, I can't see them doing that. She was extremely close with Tim before the whole Ed thing and the teams heated up and she was close to him after Ed left. It was also Tim that she was talking to when she had what many of us referred to as her "cracked out Jade" moment in the Elf Workshop. She looked dead during that period and when Ed left even people in here were referring to how much more life she had in her now that she was back with Tim. I think she'll take his advice in that he'll reiterate back to her the same things she said to him. About not chasing Ed, about how she wants to focus on acting and making her life better, etc... not from the perspective that Tim will have an inside scoop about Ed.

Just my opinion anyway, as always! I'm biased though as I've always thought the two of them had a special friendship and I'm ecstatic that they're hanging out now and going to Byron. I think they bring out the best qualities in each other and while she helps calm him at times, he helps boost her up.
 
we'll agree to disagree : ) i absolutely think she is on good terms with tim, and to me, them hanging out in byron fits in line with that. i think she brings out good things in tim too. for me, hanging out on a beach for a couple of days is not such a big thing. i have people i could hang out with and have a great time with and not confide important things to. i think we all have those people in our lives. they seem to have a nice bond, i'm not taking that away from them, i just don't get the closeness that you see. hey, we all have our biases. i know i have mine!

Yeah I have huge biases with them both because I watched their interactions so closely as they were my two favourites from the start. And then I went off Jade during the mega Ed phase near the end and then jumped back on once he left. So I'm probably seeing it from a slanted viewpoint as I was so happy when they got close again after Ed left. Now seeing them together just makes me giddy... I really think they'll be one of the lasting friendships we'll see long after we've forgotten about them (God forbid) and moved on to new housemates.

Jade pushed me to my limits as well, in regards to Ed, as I liked her from the start too. I definitely wanted to shake her a couple of times. Well, I won't spoil your giddiness. Lol. I like seeing Jade hanging out with different people, and no doubt Tim is making her laugh. Forget about them? Bite your tongue. Who am I kidding, I don't care about the majority of them now. lol.

I normally don't comment here, but Mrs B, Ballina is less than 30 minutes drive from Byron. It's like being in Melbourne and catching a tram to meet your friend for coffee.

But they're not in Ballina! They're in the GC. So they're together tonight and last night and now they're together tomorrow. It's still not a huge trip ie 90 minutes but she could've f'd him off when he went to Byron and her go her separate way if she was just heading back home. Instead she's going with him to Byron.

Work with me here woman!
 
Jade is only going from Ballina to Byron where Tim is on holiday. It is just up the road. I would not read to much into that.

I doubt Jade would be taking to much advice from Tim on relationships.

Jade is not in Ballina. She's on the GC with Katie, Lucy and Tim. They're traveling to Byron tomorrow together.

Not getting the vibe at all. I do however think Tim and Jade have a genuine friendship. If you want me to work with you, I'll tell you that tomorrow Jade will be swearing under her breath about getting into Byron on a Saturday in the summer holidays. It's tourist hell. Only Tim...
 
Hang on... Two things here: was it established that Jade is definitely going to help Tim save the sharks or whales tomorrow at Byron? Also, is she still at the Cold Ghost or back in Ballina?

haha that's all I'm saying! I don't think they're hooking up or anything like that. I think that they spent 2 days together with the sisters and Maddie on the GC, the girls are now heading back to Perth as per their latest Instagram and Jade and Tim are heading to Byron tonight or tomorrow. They were together for dinner so whatever the logistics are, they're hanging out tomorrow for the shark cull and I'm happy!

[MENTION=34034]LoveBB[/MENTION] she said she was going to do the shark cull thing. Not sure where she is but she was at dinner with Tim, the girls and Maddie 2 hrs ago. She may have gone to Ballina and then decided to push the Astra to Byron but I'm kind of doubting that.

I will take your word for that, you probably keep up with their movements better than I. I'm pretty sure I recall a conversation from in the house where Tim said he was going to holiday in Byron and Jade said she would be happy to show him around. I can't really agree with you on their being some deep friendship with Tim. I just don't see that at all.

How do you know they were at dinner together tonight? That video posted by the sisters two hours ago appears to be from last night as they're wearing the same clothes. Not sure Tim would have tweeted Jade about the shark thing if they were together today.

I thought the same and with all the pieces of the puzzle, they probably did the road trip today if Jade went with him...considering the SS have 'left the building'...
